Historical tidbit.

Jeb Magruder, deputy director of Nixon's Committee for the Re-Election of the President, and who went to jail for his role in the Watergate conspiracy was, at an earlier point, campaign manager for Donald Rumsfeld.

Scummy people seem to attract one another.

@cicerone imposter,
The divided Republican House does its share in promoting gridlock, but during the past eight years it was mostly Presidential vetos and Harry Reid's refusal to bring legislation passed by the House even to a vote in the Senate , that drove this problem. Even with a large initial majority the Democrats chose to rule as though their political opposition didn't exist - all to an unprecedented degree in the recent history of the country.

@georgeob1,
I really want to see a careful analysis from political scientists backing up that claim, george. I really do.

@Cycloptichorn,
The Senate certainly is in play but I don't think the House will change hands.

Supreme Court justice picks will be significant, so perhaps you can overlook her corruption for four years in return for a decade or more of liberal SC decisions.

I would give that a "possible".

Not me. I think Assange is a horse's ass but he's not Russia's horse's ass, They may have fed him the e-mails he promises to release, but that's not the same as having him on the pay roll. Assange, clearly doesn't care where he gets his information from. If the US presented him with a data dump on the Russkies, he'd be happy to release it all.

And even Putin's Russia is no longer "communist"

Maybe they didn't start out that way, but remember that Putin has Edward Snowden. You have to wonder if Assange is going all out against Hillary because Putin says if he doesn't, he can forget about ever seeing Snowden alive again.

What?

Since when does Assange care about Snowden?

@Lash,
And who paid them to make these speeches?

Ahh, what difference does it make.

And if I'm not mistaken, of the $1,042,000 in charitable donations they've made, $1 million went to the Clinton Foundation

Obviously, they don't want to know.

@Finn dAbuzz,
When asked for free advice, Lincoln once said that advice is a lawyer's stock in trade.

If Hillary gets a quarter of a million dollars for giving a speech, why the hell should she divulge the contents for free?

@Blickers,
Who wouldn't want to be paid quarter of a million dollars for a speech? That people are willing to pay Hillary that kind of money is not a crime.

@Blickers,
Well, that's a new twist on the dodge.

As if Clinton could possibly provide Goldman Sachs with advise that was so strategically important it must remain proprietary.

If it was she should share it just to prove to the voters that she's an economic genius.

Whether strategically important or not, she gets paid 250,000 clams for it and she doesn't feel like giving it away for free.

@blatham,
Here's a speech by Sarah Palin for her $100,000 fee.

“Things must change for our government. Look at it. It isn’t too big to fail. It’s too big to succeed! It’s too big to succeed, so we can afford no retreads or nothing will change with the same people and same policies that got us into the status quo. Another Latin word, status quo, and it stands for, ‘Man, the middle-class everyday Americans are really gettin’ taken for a ride.’ That’s status quo, and GOP leaders, by the way, y’know the man can only ride ya when your back is bent. So strengthen it. Then the man can’t ride ya, America won’t be taken for a ride, because so much is at stake and we can’t afford politicians playing games like nothing more is at stake than, oh, maybe just the next standing of theirs in the next election.”

We have a bunch of crazy people out there willing to burn money. It's comical. I guess it's worth the entertainment value for the laughs.

Make her testify before Congress about Benghazi!!!
Eleven televised hours testifying before Congress, and - nothing.
Let the FBI conduct an investigation on her emails and server!!!
FBI's final call? Gross carelessness, but nothing that any prosecutor could bring to trial, and nothing that rises to the level of intentional wrongdoing.

So, now it's - Make her release her Goldman-Sachs speech transcripts!!!
Part of me wishes they'd find something else to do besides trying to prove Hillary's the antichrist, but part of me hopes she releases the transcripts so we can watch them sift through it for months, find no smoking gun, and then fall all over themselves to come up with the next bullshit scandal.

By then, we'll likely be months into her first term.
