The most obvious is that she would be the candidate of the Dem's...a party that promotes the kinds of programs I want to see protected and expanded.

Are you more willing than the current crew in Washington to actually fund such programs? Currently we borrow to pay a lot of the bills, which is not morally correct nor sustainable. I think you need to come up with funding before anyone even talks about additional spending.

@hawkeye10,
If we can fund wars, Hawk...we can fund programs that benefit humanity.

If it cannot be done under capitalism...we **** can capitalism for something else. If not one of the other economic systems currently in fashion...we can invent something that will do the job.

We do whatever we have to do in order finally to achieve everyone having more than adequate. (NOT that everyone have equal...just that everyone have more than adequate.)

We put some inventive minds to work on figuring out how to do this.

We found minds that figured out ways to send a camera from earth and take a picture of a small spot on a moon of one of the giant planets. We should be able to find minds that can do this other thing.

@Frank Apisa,
The left has been at it for decades in the University system. All the funding their little left wing hearts could want. They keep coming up with the same answers though.

It is all the fault of rich white people. That is the best our University minds can come up with. Remember, it's never anyones fault they aren't successful, it is always someone else's fault, so someone else has to pay the bills.

Only in the US can people fail to graduate from high school and then bitch about how their lives turned out. Only people who can't follow through with the right things to do in life will demand being over paid for a cheap job. $15 to flip burgers?

@Baldimo,
If you want to think it is a problem that cannot be worked out, Baldimo...think that.

I will not think that.

We have more than enough of everything...so that everyone can have plenty. The system seems to be working against anything decent happening...and the conservatives seldom offer anything better than "It is their fault!"

Never the system!

American conservatives are dupes of the barons. There are moments where I do not dislike them...I pity them. (Not always...sometimes I really dislike them.)

We'll do better...our we'll all go down together.

@Frank Apisa,
If the system was rigged like you think it is, no one would succeed. We know that there are millions of people who succeed every year. If the system were rigged, how did I start out 20 years ago making min wage and now a days I make very good money? Does that sound like a rigged system?

Dropping out of high school to work min wage jobs isn't the best decision one can make. Those same people are stuck in fast food jobs but you want to blame the system, not the fool who dropped out because they didn't like school. That's the problem. No one at the bottom wants to admit they made poor choices but instead wants to blame the system. I don't think the problem is with the system. I've worked in the system my whole life and I have done pretty well for myself. The difference being is I don't blame others for my poor choices. You enable people to blame the system when it was their choices that lead them to where they are. Now someone else has to pay the bill, not the fool who failed.

It has only been in the last 10 years that I have run into people who celebrate their failure at life . Very strange behavior......"I am a failure, now give me stuff!".

**** that noise, I dont throw good money after bad.

@Baldimo,
Like I said...your side is all, "It is their own fault...never the system."

That is why I want a Dem...and since it appears Hillary is going to be that Dem...I want Hillary.

She is head and shoulders a better choice than any of those people the R's are touting.

So what then is your explanation for why conservatives support charities to the same degree that liberals do?

http://articles.latimes.com/2014/mar/31/business/la-fi-mh-conservatives-or-liberals-20140331

the refrain we hear here so often from liberals attempting to demean conservatives "you got yours so you say "**** you" to have nots" is an obvious lie. It seems to me also that by the act of giving the conservatives also show that they dont expect those with little to get ahead completely by bootstrap pulling, they clearly believe in helping.

@hawkeye10,
The conservative refrain:

It's "their" fault.

So what that they started so much lower on the ladder.

Conservatives are often people born on third base...bragging about having hit a triple!

Not true. In the economy's overall balance sheet, every dollar of debt is both a liability to the debtor who borrowed it and an asset to the creditor who lent it. To the economy as a whole, then, debt is a wash, not a negative. You need to brush up on basic accounting.

So then explain this

Quote:
In the 2014 midterm elections, based on exit polls, 50% of Asian Americans voted Republican, while 49% voted Democrat;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_Americans_in_government_and_politics

The majority of asians here now are recent.

Again we find you spewing Democratic press releases rather than facts. Conservatives are certainly not without faults, but this assertion from the Left that they dont care about other people is complete bull ****. Given the lack of factual basis for the charge it is also clearly an uncivil act from the left, which makes the fact that they think that their **** does not stink even more hilarious. When you see a person with no self awareness it is always a pretty good idea to put money on the bet that they are a liberal.

The candy, as you put it is going to the top 5% not the bottom 95%. You should shut your mouth and open your eyes for a change.

Lying prick? Name calling now. You must be desperate.

Where's the proof Rabel? If you provide nothing, then you have proof of nothing. You always demand proof from others, but you are always short on proof for your own "theories".

Come on Frank. Its really hard to make a living when your daddy left you 15 or 20 million bucks. Think of all the effort it takes to make up excuses as to why your not richer than the average guy.

This is the last desperate plea of someone who doesn't have a clue about how things work. It is people who were born on thrid base and didn't have to work for something who think the system is broken.

You think someone who dropped out of school because they didn't want to learn can blame the system for their own poor choices. They have been working at McD's for 6 years and the system is at fault for their lack of skills or ability to climb the working ladder?

See I can provide proof that the system works, you can't provide proof that it doesn't. In your mind it is broke, in reality people are making it, if they try. Crying on the streets for more money and not doing anything to increase your own value as an employee is the problem in this country.

They get their share, mostly through screwing around with the tax code. But here is the thing....at least the top 5% are contributing to the collective. Almost all of the bottom 20% suck only, we have to water and feed them and they will never amount to anything, not least because by constantly handing money to them we are removing any motivation for them to get off the couch. I say **** that, they should have to go into something like Job Corps to get anything, and they should need to pass attendance and work quality evaluations to get their direct deposits.
