Passport & tickets in order, Kicky?
(I am SO jealous.)
Two copies of passports made and one copy of each left at home, one to be packed separate from passport?
Can we think of other things to nag Kicky about?
(I'm jealous too.)
The diary - a small notebook to put in pocket, ready at any time for scribbling in..., and a pen or pencil. I do mean small. I took four cheesy drugstore notebooks for that one month trip, and only (of course) carried one at a time. There's a company that puts out really good small blank books, about 3 1/2 x 4". Books, I said books.
I got the passport stuff and tickets all taken care of. Thanks for the reminder though.
Diary...good idea. Maybe I'll do that.
I picked up some nice journal books for travel 'stuff' at the Strand Bookstore.
I like to pick them up whenever I'm travelling. Got a fabulous one in Cambridge, from the official Harvard notebook publisher. Travel notebooks from, and for, my travels. Nice.
These are the ones I like, except in small size...

Don't forget to bring your potato (for stuffing your speedo at the Italian beaches). We expect to hear of hot lusty stories about the beautiful Italian women you waylay on your travels. Wait ... don't you have chaperones? Ah ne'mind.
They're all blue potatoes tokicky. (so I've heard)
Those are better boiled than baked...
And kicky, for the last time: put the potato in the FRONT of the speedo.
I hope you get to meet Papa John, Papa Gino, and Mr. Sbarro.

Italy in two days? Good for you, I won't be in Europe until prbably in about two - three years, if my dad keeps his promise of me getting a 6 months break after I graduate from my LLB.
Have fun and keep safe.
Darn, I missed the 'bon voyage'. I hope you have a fabulous time in Italy, Kicky!
What have I done to myself? I've just signed another contract for another 6 months at this job.
Gosh, I'm so depressed. Why am I doing this torture to myself? All smiles outside, pain (not exagerating) on the inside. Its sickening me. I want to leave - where to?
The hatred I have for my job is well documented on this forum.( I sit infront of a pc all day looking for new jobs to send IT engineers to, occasionally I answer the phone.8 hours of dullness)
I feel a fear of not having any income which stops me from quitting, also the fact that all other available jobs are in IT which bores seven shades of sh*t out of me.
Wouldnt it be nice if we could leave school, and we all start off our working lives setting up our own business.
Id like a craft job but with anything crafty being cheaply made abroad theer is no need for it over here.
Life sucks.
Christ Im not that depressed about it!!I have a hint of optimism in my life.
But your along the right lines, hehe.
My headache may be the death of me - aka my job. imagine spinning around shelves hour in hour out with loads of books on a small metal trolley. I'm out of it. Who gives if I get fired? I will rejoice.
But I just signed a contract. Bl**dy wishful thinking. Oh heck.
Do you work in a library??!!
It amazes me how some people can leave school and immediately get a job that they have aimed to get and enjoy, whereas others(like me)have no luck in their chosen field when they leave education then go on to do rubbish jobs for the rest of their lives.
Wheres our motivation!!?????

Yeah - don't be so happy about it for me. Its hell.

That is not me...are you referring to your own personal experience? What did you do?

Thats me - I guarantee you, I will probably have to work in another public library after I graduate...with a LLB.
