My language skills keeping me from a job populated by illegal immigrants shouldn't have happened as they shouldn't have been here working. So yes, they did in fact take a job that a citizen wanted and that a citizen was capable of doing. How many other construction jobs are not available to US citizens because illegals take the jobs?

I was an awesome carpenter with many many skills and abilities. I didn't speak spanish so I wasn't hired. It's a fucked up day in the US when a citizen can't get a job on a job site because he doesn't speak spanish. If I were working in Mexico, I wouldn't have a problem. Instead we are in the US where illegal immigrants stealing jobs Americans want and can do.

That is not a problem with illegal immigration, that is a problem we have integrating all new commers, legal and illegal. Germany has free German classes, another country (Sweden?) makes it mandatory to learn at least a little of the language in the first few years to stay. We could do that.

But it is a problem with illegal immigration, we find illegal immigrants, they should be deported, not allowed to stay and continue working in a job they have no legal right to. This was in San Diego and the CA illegal immigration has only gotten worse in the last 20 years.

Well you know the argument against: we tried that and Ag MegaCorps lost too many crops because the feds scared off their illegal pickers checking documents, and they were not willing to pay what it would take to get legal pickers.

When immigration enforcement shows up on a job site, and people run for the hills without picking up their tools? Yeah, they are illegal. When they fail to show up for a few days after immigration enforcement was there? Yeah illegals. When you are in your 20's and 30's and speak no English, you are paid under the table and you run when Immigration shows up? Yeah, illegal.

When the housing bubble broke what happened to all the houses that were foreclosed, the banks (yes the ones the US people bailed out) sold them to "speculators" who raised the prices to such a degree that no one could afford them, so they now sit vacant.

Ripping them off without regard is a personal opinion. Business are there to provide a service and make a profit. That's it. If you want them to do more, then start your own company and run it that way. You won't last a year.


The insurance plan a majority of citizens had was fine. It's the reason why Obama spent so much time lying to the American people saying "If you like your insurance, you can keep it." I liked my plan but wasn't able to keep it. Now I have a plan that costs more gives me less of the things I want and more of the things I don't need. It is almost worthless compared to what I had 2 years ago. Costs have gone up but the care is about the same. The only thing the ACA did that it advertised was get some people insurance that didn't have it before. It only did a small portion of what it said it was going to do. Hell there are still parts of the ACA that Obama put on hold that haven't even taken effect yet.
