@Rebelofnj,

Unsurprisingly, O keeps talking about civil liberties when they only mean gun rights and nothing else.

There are other civil liberties. Gun rights are talked about because those are the specific civil liberties that progressives are trying to violate.

Meanwhile, the GOP keeps passing vote suppression laws across the country that actually harm our civil liberties (right to vote)

Laws that prevent progressives from cheating do not suppress any legal votes. Illegal votes are rightfully suppressed. Doing this does not harm the right to vote.

and O clearly does not care at all, despite their insistence they strongly care about civil liberties.

I care a little bit. I approve of these efforts to prevent progressives from cheating.

But it is true that it's not a huge issue for me.

@BillW,
Snood and Cobbler rely on childish name-calling because they aren't capable of producing intelligent arguments.

You are much the same.

Inventive and descriptive name calling, something clearly beyond one with such a limited vocabulary.

Progressives lack the intelligence to argue using facts and logic.

@izzythepush,
I've never heard of it before now, but it sounds like it might be too advanced for the likes of you.

I mean, you really shouldn't try to pretend to be intelligent or anything. You might sprain something important, and then where would you be?

@TheCobbler,
Nothing that you are capable of saying is over my head. Remember, it is you who is very stupid. My IQ is 170.

I intentionally flushed a King James Bible down a toilet once.

@oralloy,
It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out a Bible does not fit down a toilet. Even the little small New Testament ones would require a plumber to come fish it out. What was it on a microchip?

The more you speak the less intelligent you seem...

@TheCobbler,
It was a pocket New Testament, and one of those jet powered toilets in public buildings (I don't know the proper toilet terminology). And this was well before any of the silly water saver nonsense that goes on with toilets today. The thing shot right down.

So face it. That's one King James that is right where it belongs.

"What stupid people believe is not intelligent" is a matter of very little importance.

@oralloy,
Those old iron sewerage pipes are not big enough to fit a pocket bible.

And a camel through the eye of a needle! My point is, a trash can would suffice and cause much less grief.

Hitler destroyed books too.

You flushed a mini Bible....

And so very proud for doing so.

Ok.

You do you.

A King James Version, one with all those difficult old fashioned words that flummox the simple minded.

@izzythepush,
Back in the day, David Letterman had a bit called "Stupid Human Tricks."

Flushing a Bible, even a pocket size one, certainly qualifies.

@neptuneblue,
It certainly does. I object to any deliberate destruction of books in general.

If you donโ€™t like a book give it to charity, and if itโ€™s too damaged to read stickit in the recycling.

Like Cobbler said, Hitler burned books.

@izzythepush,
I remember watching the play Iranian Nights which was made as a response to the fatwa issued against Salman Rushdie. There were quite a few threads including one about Omar Khayyam, but the one that stuck out was on the first generation immigrant father, very western having to deal with his radicalised son.

In one notable scene where his son talks about burning the Satanic Verses, his father scolds him. He tells him that one of the greatest tragedies to affect the Islamic World was the destruction of libraries by the invading Mongol hordes, and that as a result no Muslim should ever damage a book.
