I'm wearing a navy blue shirt with a button-down collar. It contrasts nicely with pale khakis and a braided leather belt. Sperry Topsiders complete the ensemble. I look scrumptious.

Uhhh, let's see. Forest green sweat shorts, long-sleeved jersey shirt with a wild forest pattern--no, no squirrels or nuts. And...my black Waldies(clogs) from Canada. (a gift from my daughter) Hair in ponytail--gotta get it cut next week!

Calamity: Where are you in so.Cal?? It's cold and rainy here (Palm Springs) but not really "sweater weather." At least not yet.

I'm trying to figure out a shoe conundrum, maybe you guys can help. Last year I ordered some shoes from Zappos, Reaction boots, extremely cool. I got them and they were a bit big and also I decided I wasn't sure of the style -- they had that slightly extended toe that I'm now used to and see as cool but at the time were a little hmmm. They were expensive and I decided that if I was going to keep them they couldn't be hmm they had to be perfect so I sent 'em back.

The ones I ordered last year were dark brown, I don't like the colors available now. And STILL too expensive.

Well, the other day Target I saw EXACT knock-offs of that style, Mossimo, $29.99. I tried them on, they look great.

What to do? The construction is fine, but not Reaction level. Just get them, or hold out for some other really good ones that I haven't found yet...?

The target boots - are they leather? I haven't had good luck with target shoes (and I LOVE target).

Looked for a pic but they said "no photo available" on the site (brand-new style evidently.) But they are down-to-the-last-stitch knockoffs.

I may have to go buy a pair!

i'm not wild about the quality of any of the Mossimo products I can get here. i definitely want to have the best quality shoes (at the lowest possible price) i can get my feet into.
