A croakie is a band that is sewn to a tube at each end and slipped over the ends of your eyeglasses to hold them on. Without them, my glasses tend to slip down my nose when I run.

Or she's channeling you... one o' those.

Thanks for posting it! There MUST be a way to get the url of images with this Mac, but I haven't figured it out yet. (The url I get doesn't have any jpg or gif or anything and when I went ahead and tried it anyway it just sat there -- didn't convert into a picture.) (Yes I put [img] tags around it. :-)) The only way that has worked is if I do an image search on Google and get one of those blank pages with just the image, and the url in the address box ends in jpg or gif.

Anyway.

Now I know what a croakie is! I feel so much better.

ok - my answer to the mac posting issue is, well, maybe not appropriate - but I'd suggest going to taunton - logging in and playing in their sandbox forum . kind of like our test forum - but usually with more advisors around - and a bit more mac friendly. Confused

and what am i wearing? the sneaker pumps have been replace with baby blue platform beach thongs. Still wearing my black pants with the white pin stripe down the side seam, and a very wonderful black and white sleeveless top with sorta continuous yin/yang all over it.

I think Dys' tee shirt may be a classic.

Presently wearing a soft pink/mauve cotton skirt, ankle length with slit to the darling knee, and heathery polo type, but longer, knit top in the vicinity of the same color, but missing, since said top and skirt were purchased years apart.

Wearing my scuffed black danskos, which I like better than my non-scuffed ones. The polished leather ones scuff more noticibly... but the non shiny ones (non-shiny when you buy them) tend to stretch, so walking is a matter of clopping.

blue blue blue and pink striped joe boxers, and a co-ordinating pink flowered tank/undershirt thingy

it's bizarrely warm here, considering it's the second day of autumn

I'm going to try to recreate my trivial lost post from last night:

Black kimono, black bra, pale orange boxers with red moons and stars. I should post more often when I'm actually dressed.

[Today I'm even less appropriate.]

Well, George, at this moment I'm wearing dark blue plaid flannel pajama pants, a very oversized beige chenille sweater and purple chenille socks.

Fashion advice time!

(Tranna fashionistas, are you listening?)

I have several below-the-knee skirts. A little bit higher than mid-calf. I have NO idea what kind of shoes to wear with them. One goes OK with my black chunky-soled maryjanes, but the others wouldn't work with 'em. I don't particularly want to wear ballerina flats or kitten-heeled mules. Below-the-knee boots?

Are the skirts narrow? swirly? voluminous? tailored?
Boots look good with most longer skirts. Tights do too, with most shoes.

I need a black skirt just below knee length. Plain but a soft fabric, not tailored. "Need." That's terrible. "Want." Or "could use."

Most of them are narrowish and swirly. One is bias-cut, narrow at the top and progessively more swirly, a little longer in back. One is narrowish with some ribbon details and a sort of ruffle/ flounce thing for the last 6 inches or so. None of them are particularly voluminous.

I know what you mean about the black skirt, Cinn.

sweat socks
Asics Gel-1090 runnies
black croakie with orange palm trees

Ooooh! Very nice! :-D

That looks to be about exactly the length of the skirts I'm talking about.
