Gus' compliments are usually 'high' when he's been mucking about in the pig stall! Shocked

Firefighters carry axes to break down doors, don't they?

This morning I'm wearing a strapless orchid color gauzy top and khaki safari shorts. I've decided to accessorize not with one of those tiny dogs-in-a-tote but with this little guy on my arm:

Cinnn...
Don't go to a restaurant then.

I had dinner with him last night, and his table manners were appalling!

I should have listened to your advice, Margo. I took him to the local Panda Express, and after that things got a little nutty..... look what I'm wearing today:

Cinn,

And I thought you were a tough nut to crack. Boy, was I wrong. Shocked

Drom,
I'm not lazy today. Not, did dishes for a bit after getting the dogs out, before Sam even got up!

Right now, I'm multi-tasking, being here and occassionally stirring the sourdough starter to be used in tomorrows baking of pumpernickle bread, using a recipe that Cav sent me. This could be the start of a whole new realm of baking for me or it could be a Pandora's box, not to be confused with a box from Panda Express.

A short magenta kimono. I'm pretending it's a dress. With the right accessories, no one can tell it's a robe, right?

Cinn,

What a delightful mental picture.

Me, today total slob, jeans, T shirt and dog chewed penny loafers. Oh. and a BIG smile.

Longish (a li'l past knees) multi-colored cotton print skirt with a ruffle at the bottom, white-on-white embroidered 3/4 sleeve cotton tunic.

Sure, a robe could be a dress, no problem. I have a vintage short silk kimono, lined, GORGEOUS print (black background with vivid chrysanthemum print), that I wore over a little black dress as a sort of a jacket. I thought I was being daring and genre-bending, but then spoke to an antique dealer friend who said that was the original intent -- it was made in America in the 20's during a japonoiserie (I KNOW that's not spelled right) craze, made to be worn out in the evenings.

I need to feed (refuel) my baby Swamp Dragon.

Are you familiar with Terry Pratchett's Disk World books? If not you may like to read some of them. He writes many parodies of both Shakespear and modern socio-political situations. Sam Vimes is one of his characters, with whom I identify.

Cinn,

That cigar lasts longer that way. I'm changing from my "rez chique" into a pair of Bue jeans (Liz Claiborne) a white tank, with shelf bra and my rugged, outdoorsy, brown, open toed clogs. I think that's what we'd call them. Oh, a white headband and turquoise stud earrings too. Make up, just a touch of lipstick. Very Happy

Sozobe, that silk kimono sounds exquisite.

Sam, I've read a few of Pratchett's books. I recognize Neil Gaiman's illustrations because he did some of the art for Stephen King's Dark Tower series.

Wiyaka-- shelf bra? Is that one of those built-in things?
