Paste of aspirin & baking soda, was that it?Something to make the inflammation go down..

I've been to Chicago several times but never lived there. In some ways I prefer it to the Detroit area, but Detroit is home and it's hard to leave. The $$$ is doing some serious talkin' though.

I read something recently that said Detroit couldn't decide if it wanted to be Chicago or Toronto.

Detroit's big enough to not need to leave to experience all the good big city stuff, but still, Chicago IS Chicago (as long as you don't get stuck in the burbs - the Chicago burbs are hellacious - a friend of mine recently came back after trying to live in the Chicago burbs).

I feel a bit dopey posting this (but feeling dopey is not always such a bad thing), I'm wearing a navy blue polo short sleeve shirt, cream-colored light cotton slacks and matching socks and a light suede and navy blue oxford shoes. All in all, not bad office attire for the start of summer.

I would to be truly in character, but I'd be afraid of drawing comparisons with the infamous "puffy shirt" from Senfield.

Forget the shirt. Wear the vest, the earring, the parrot on the shoulder.

But if I did that, I'd have to change my screen name to Jack Sparrow, wouldn't I?

Which brings us back to the scene in "My Favorite Year" when our matinee idol was unceremoniously poured into a bubble bath by his 2 handlers, who then scoured his luggage for his last hidden bottle of booze, only to be stymied by one more bottle mysteriously secreted on Swann's near-naked person.

And this reply comes late, which brings to mind another scene when asked if he was late, Swann replied, "Always. But I'm never quite sure for what." Laughing

George has his own way of going incognito. First the glasses are replaced with contacts, then the facial hair is removed. What next?
