I actually liked "Phantom of the Paradise".

"Godspell" sucked, but wasn't rock either.

"Zachariah" is one rock film which is so bad it's good. A musical-rock-western.
dyslexia explained to me it is based on the life of Buddha!

I believe that "This Is Spinal Tap" was the first "mockumentary" that made it big. It was a while after it was released before many people realized that it was not a real documentary. If I am wrong about its being the first, I'm counting on L.W. to set me straight.

Wasn't "The Hellstrom Chronicle" a former mockumentary?

It was quite famous on it's time (early 70s).

I would suggest that "The Hellstrom Chronicle" is a docudrama. The semantic difference between a mocumentary and docudrama is a fine line.

Heresy, but I would have to implicate The Beatles. "Magical Mystery Tour" really was a movie made for radio. Paul's 'Fool on the Hill' pointed the way to some of the dreadful work he would later do with Wings.

Spinal Tap was awesome....I am very pleased they never did a sequel for that one.

there was, straight to video, 'The Return of Spinal Tap'. a concert film + some interviews generally catching up with the band and people in the first film. not nearly as good but decent.

Worst film of them all, for me, is The Exorcist.

Off the top of my head I can think of several terrible movies but the ones that stand out in the forefront is "The Blue Lagoon" with Brooke Shields; "The Deep" with Nick Nolte; the movie about strippers called "Glitter" and "Waterboy" with Adam Sandler.

I'm not sure how one could tell a film is bad if they don't see the film all the way through. "The Exorcist" is certainly not for all taste but it is dramatically intense and eerie enough to make one's skin genuinely crawl.

"The Exorcist" is by far the most frightening movie I have ever seen. I think it's the best horror films ever made. Sure it's crude, vulgar and ahead of it's time....but brilliant nevertheless.

I can think of several worst horror films.

Night of the Living Dead was terrible
Dracula starring Tom Cruise was equally terrible
The Ring
Friday the 13th movies were all bad
