Well, Slappy, that movie could also put anyone off of being a salesman unless they are inherantly unethical and overbearing.

Well, okay, I will concede Arkin even though it was more of a bit part.

Twister is the worst piece of **** ever. And for the record, Helen Hunt is a horrible actress.

I liked Helen Hunt in As Good As It Gets. But I think the writing was just so good that it made her appear to be a better actor then she is.

I don't believe anyone had the opportunity to act any more than their best cardboard personas in the movie. Bill Paxton has turned in some great performances in other films. I believe Helen Hunt has also in "Pay It Forward" for one.

"Ishtar" is like getting sand in one's shorts.

lightW; i will take your advice re: RollerBall, and see it again; i was much younger when i watched it, and was impressed by the future environment, as much as the 'action', and 'story'.

Not having cable (a benefit far more than a lack!) i will have to intentionally rent it at some point.

At the time, "Rollerball" I believe squandered the talent of James Caan and the other actors on a silly story with lots of up-to-date special effects but for me it had no guts. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone if they had to pay to see it.

No, Cereal, it's as hard to get out of the cracks as it's unfortunately hard to get "Ishtar" out of one's mind completly -- sort of like the theme from "Jeopardy."
