@Miller,
"Why do blacks have anger so late in the civil rights game?"
So glad that you think human beings deserving of equal rights is a game......
Why are blacks angry?
I don't know I'm no spokesperson for all African-Americans but what I can tell you from experience is the perpetual injustices that goes on in the inner cities.
You said:
"while other folks of "color", such as Asian-Americans, don't seem to have nor do they express any anger towards "whites" and the American way of life? Asian Americans have the highest medium income of all ethnic groups in the USA and the highest recorded IQ values of any ethnic American group."
This retort is so funny....I've been down this road with many of the Stormfront idiots regarding IQ its not even funny. Funny thing is Asians (as in Pakistanis, Malays, Chinese, etc) do speak out all the time! Or by Asians were you referring to people with "slanted eyes?" LOL You'd see it all the time on college campuses (I mean, YOU DO GO TO COLLEGE RIGHT??) which is why many of the different ethnic organizations collaborate with each other regarding the issues of discrimination. Some communities are less voicetrous than others but that doesn't mean their struggle is different than other people of color.
"Before you criticize so-called "white people" concerning their feelings about the "black anger" , please explain to me, the basis for this anger in the year 2014."
I don't know, maybe because stuff like this happens all the time. Recently an LAPD officer killed an unarmed black teen here in Los Angeles, and Latino man also unarmed, was killed as well. Both the Latino and Black community here in Southern California have been speaking out quite a bit here. As for myself, I'm not angry, I'm frustrated that police departments hire people who have internalized racist feelings. I speak to African-American cops as well as Latino cops all the time here at my hospital and some of them confirm that there are certain officers with a racist mindset.
For L.A county Deputies most have to work the jails before they go on the streets and so, some of their internalized racism comes from dealing with gang members in the jails. Some, are from how they grew up. Just because you don't see a swastika doesn't mean the person doesn't have some pre-conceived belief regarding people of color.
"I might also add, if you want to be "mad " at something, then be dam mad at the savages, who chopped Mr. Foley's head off because the US refused to pay them $149 million. With that in mind, why shouldn't all Irish Americans be pissed off at the murder of a fellow Irish Catholic? That's something to be real mad about.... "
Yes because one person's suffering supercedes another person's suffering...The above comment is an example why African-Americans continue to harp on the issues we continually argue about.
