The Zionists would still be oppressing the Palestinian people for the sake of their ethnocentrist state "for the Jews."

Bullshit. Golda Meir was a member of Irgun, right?

Sotomayer(Scotus) belongs to La Raza. What difference would there be?

@InfraBlue,
It's all about dehumanisation, to say any group of people don't love their children, and are only capable of hate, is an intensely racist thing to say regardless of who they are.

@izzythepush,
And what if they see zionist expansionism as a clear and present threat to their children's future?

@hingehead,
Exactly, every country in the World, even America, opposes the settlement activity on occupied land.

Hamas use their kids as human shields don't they?

@Romeo Fabulini,
No they don't. Have you any idea how tiny and overcrowded Gaza is?

there's no point in using human shields when your opponent doesn't care how many civilians it kills.

Read the quotation, Meir doesn't say Hamas, she says the Arabs.

That's like saying the IRA represents all Republican in NI.

Israel gives advance warning about which areas of Gaza are going to get hit, but the Gazans still seem to hang about in there with their kids

Funny people against Islam don't get that break with Muslims.

To quote "O brother where art thou" that makes no sense.

Muslims are people of the Islamic faith. Israel is a State, not a religion. I am not against the Jewish religion. What I am against is the oppression and the stealing of land the State of Israel does against Palestinians.

I read an article the other day about person in Gaza who blamed both Hamas and Israel for the killing of their people, as far as I know she suffered no reprisal for saying that.

WASHINGTON - July 21 - Since the beginning of Operation Protective Edge in the Gaza Strip, the majority of the dead and wounded in Gaza are civilians and medical workers are also coming under fire, the international medical humanitarian organization Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) said today.

Heavy overnight shelling
Women and children comprised most of the wounded people arriving on Sunday morning in the emergency room in Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, where MSF is working, following heavy shelling overnight and in the morning in the city’s Ash Shuja’iyeh neighborhood. MSF personnel witnessed hundreds of people fleeing the area. MSF calls on Israel to stop bombing civilians trapped in the sealed-off Gaza strip, and to respect the safety of medical workers and health facilities.

“Shelling and air strikes are not only intense but are also unpredictable, which makes it very difficult for MSF and other medical workers to move and provide much needed emergency care,” said Nicolas Palarus, MSF field coordinator in Gaza.

Hundreds of civilians wounded
Two brothers, eight and four, were among the hundreds of civilians wounded overnight in Ash Shuja’iyeh. They lay side by side in Al Shifa’s intensive burn care unit, suffering severe burns from a missile strike on their house.

It was only at dawn that people began to flee the area by foot or in packed vehicles, and when wounded people were able to reach the hospital either by ambulance or on their own.

'Half of the severe cases died within minutes'
“In the emergency resuscitation room, half of the severe cases died within minutes, and half required emergency surgery,” said Audrey Landmann, MSF medical coordinator in Gaza.

At the hospital, MSF also witnessed two paramedics who had died and two others who were injured while trying to retrieve wounded from Ash Shuja’iyeh. Separately this morning, a clearly identified MSF vehicle escaped an air strike 300 metres away. Israeli authorities had earlier guaranteed secure movements for MSF from the Erez border crossing to Gaza City, so that an incoming surgical team could be picked up. “Medical workers and facilities must be respected, and shooting should not occur at or near ambulances and hospitals,” said Palarus.

Number of victims increasing exponentially
Since Israel launched its ground offensive the number of victims is increasing exponentially. “While official claims that the objective of the ground offensive is to destroy tunnels into Israel, what we see on the ground is that bombing is indiscriminate and that those who die are civilians,” said Palarus.

Three families of MSF staff members are sheltering at MSF’s post-operative clinic in in Gaza City. “They have nowhere else to go and crossing the border does not seem a realistic option,” said Palarus. “United Nations shelters are now overcrowded and hygiene conditions are extremely worrying.”

@Romeo Fabulini,
Where should they go? Nowhere in Gaza is safe. Try to get this through your head, Gaza is tiny and greatly overpopulated. It doesn't matter how many bloody warnings they get, there's nowhere to go.

That is the real problem, Izzy.

There is no place to go where it is safe.

Gaza is quite big, so when Israel warns them that they're going to conduct operations in a certain area, the people have plenty of advance warning for civilians to get out to a safe area. That way, Israel and Hamas can battle it out face-to-face.
But most of the civvies are NOT moving out, either because they refuse to "retreat", or because Hamas won't let them move out..

@Romeo Fabulini,
1.812 million people squashed into an area 25 miles x 5 miles does not leave much room for manoeuvre. And that's on a good day when the roads aren't bombed or blocked with rubble.

And this is one of the chief reasons Israel's actions will be labelled war crimes waged against the vulnerable Palestinians with nowhere to escape; even hospitals have been hit with the UN saying emphatically they had warned Israel 17 times not to hit this hospital and Israel targeted it anyway!

Trust me, Israel isn't doing its nation any good. There are protests in America, especially San Francisco/New York and according to the media, in Europe as well. Some American protesters are holding signs showing a Bibi Netanyahu sporting a tiny infamous Hitler moustache with hair parted the same identical way and many of these signs are clearly anti-Semitic with a few reading "the Holocaust was a hoax" and "American aid should be stopped immediately!" One Jewish leader was just on national TV saying many Americans did not distinguish between Jewish Americans and Israelis and anti-Semitism is now being demonstrated against the former with swastikas painted on homes in Jewish neighborhoods, cars and synagogues.

There is definitely a global backlash which appear to be growing.

Speaking of war crimes, surely Hamas firing rockets at Israeli towns is a war crime?

@Moment-in-Time,
The massacre of so many Palestinians by Israel leads many outsiders to think the Zionist nation is driven by a bloodlust to eradicate as many Palestinians as they can so the next time they attack the Palestinians on one pretext or another, there will be fewer left.....and there will be more room for settlements!

Revisit the Fogel family. What did those children do to the Palestinians?
