@vonny,
Neither have I. But I am thinking about investing in laser tattoo removal, it's going to be huge and a money machine when the skin starts sagging.

I never vote for Goldwater. I could have but screwed up voter registration when I moved to another state.

Anyhow, I was told by tv the pundits that if I voted for him we would have race riots and expanded war in Vietnam, etc

'Course that happened anyway. But 'twernt my fault.

I've never voted for Ron Paul, who once represented the congressional district in which I've resided since '79. (Neither has my Republican wife! Well, she became an independent last year. She finally got tired of all the formerly segregationist Southern "Democrats" who took over her party.)

I despise the John Birch Society. They tried to blacklist my sister in the mid-1960s by falsely accusing her of being a Communist simply because she had been involved in the civil rights movement. As far as I'm concerned, she was a heroine performing a public service; and I'm still very proud of her on that account to this very day.

@wmwcjr,
I see my post above has been thumbed down. I have a feeling the one who did it wasn't a conservative, but was actually a "progressive" who carries a grudge against me for whatever reason, as the individual in question has chosen to not actually communicate with me in order to let me know why s(he) is displeased. The pettiness of the members who have this sort of mentality amazes me. Oh, well . . . children must play.

Don't make assumptions. I, a progressive liberal, have also give your well-reasoned and thoughtful post a thumbs up.
