That’s how Daisy Khan, founder of the Women’s Islamic Initiative in Spirituality and Equality described the recent kidnappings of nearly 300 schoolgirls by Nigerian terrorist group, Boko Haram. Despite similar denunciations of Boko Haram’s actions by Muslim religious leaders, activists, organizations, and intellectuals across the world, right-wing media are set on using the kidnappings as a justification for their Islamophobic narratives and their attempt to make Boko Haram the face of Islam.

Daisy some people look in the Koran and Hadiths and see all those teachings are in there. Islams right to preform such acts following Mohammeds example. Boko Haram shows Islams true intent. Daisy is lying.

And since she used "right wing" in her comments guess which wing believes her?

Islam inspires hate, and the left constantly apologizes for Islam. Promoting or aiding hate is hate. Haters.

@coldjoint,
OK ColdDoperino, lets compare the wing nut numbers

1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism - Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

Quote:
"As the Republicans continue checking underneath every available flag pin and Bible for viable candidates, presumed de facto frontrunner candidate Mitt Romney has gotta be thinking, 'What the fudge? This is starting to hurt where my feelings should be.'" –Jon Stewart

2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights - Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.

Dick Cheney Defends The Use Of Torture And Claims Waterboarding ‘Produced Phenomenal Results’

3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause - The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.

4. Supremacy of the Military - Even when there are widespread
domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.

GOP Slams Obama Plan to Cut Military to 'Pre-World War II Level'

5. Rampant Sexism - The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Divorce, abortion and homosexuality are suppressed and the state is represented as the ultimate guardian of the family institution.

6. Controlled Mass Media - Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.

7. Obsession with National Security - Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.

http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m47xcb4zya1rwtkglo1_1280.jpg

8. Religion and Government are Intertwined - Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions.

9. Corporate Power is Protected - The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.

10. Labor Power is Suppressed - Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed.

11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts - Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts and letters is openly attacked.

http://thecomicnews.com/images/edtoons/2012/1017/campaigns/10.jpg

12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment - Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6d/International_incarceration_rates_2002.jpg

13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption - Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.

http://woodgatesview.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/insanity-defined1.jpg

14. Fraudulent Elections - Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

With eye on 2014, GOP ramps up war on voting

No, I am admitting that the terrorists deserve what they get. And it was an interrogation savages understand.

And do not tell me "savages" does not apply. 3,000 innocents died.

“The best way to take control over a people and control them utterly is to take a little of their freedom at a time, to erode rights by a thousand tiny and almost imperceptible reductions. Clearly progressives have adopted exactly that strategy. And the constant shouting down, social pressure from useful idiots, and government thuggery show it. As the collective becomes superior to the individual.

I did ColdeDope--I used this topic to correct the fallacious ColdDope claim that fascism was a product of progressives and liberals when it is universally acknowledged as being an authoritarian dictum that is in direct conflict with progressivism and liberalism.

I still claim it is. Statism is the goal right now. There isn't much more that can evolve into. The direction is what you deny, you are still going to get there.

right wing and left wing are inaccurate terms.
the scale should be, at one end totalitarianism and at the other end anarchy.
modern liberals have nothing to do with libertarianism or classical liberalism.

@classicalcynic,
Personally I kinda like anarchy--at least constructive anarchy. I also really dislike authoritarianism and despise totalitarianism.

But my dislike may be a little different from most, authoritarian societies tend to be static, and society like most other living entities when static is dying. Societies need to be in a constant flux, preferably a progressive flux.

That may be my real problem with conservatism--is that it tends to preserve the status quo and will use authoritarian means to achieve that status quo.

If given a choice--I would prefer an authoritative state--one that makes recommendations and provides enough stability to patch potholes in the infrastructure but doesn't prevent the possibility of some constructive anarchy.
