Bowling for Columbine was thoroughly debunked from one end to the other. Anyone who calls that a "documentary" is severaly deluded.

Listening.

My aunt and uncle were early Disney employees, as in Very Early, and my ex and I think he was screwed over by a later person there re a screenplay treatment. So, I, in the wings, like to pay attention from time to time.

I guess I wish they would be who I thought they were when I was about nine, whatever the facts of this recent episode.

Censorship only has legal meaning as it relates to governmental action.

Disney, unless one is a Leftist nut case, cannot be accused of "censorship."

Michael Moore has no protected right to have his political screeds financed by Disney, Miramax et al. If and when the government prevents him from turning out his views in pamphlets or on a soap box, then I'll join you in decrying a violation of the Ist Ammedment.

In the meantime, it's all about money and exposure. Hardly constitutional issues.

There's enough sour grapes on this thread to make bad wine for the next one-hundred years.

I can also lead anyone to a site which claims we never traveled to the moon with photographic analysis that immediately looks credible. It's not -- it's a hoax about a non-hoax. Happy fairy tales to you -- delusion is not the better form of grandeur.

"Columbine" is the most successful Pay-Per-View and HBO presented documentary ever aired on television. Don't swallow those sour grapes, they'll curdle your stomach.

Take great solace in the fact tha Moore is a millionaire.

Hitler was successful.

Idi Amin was succesful.

Kaiser Wilhem was succesful.

Lucretiza Borgia was succesful.

The Ottoman Turks were succsessful.

Tamerlane was successful.

Tsar Ivan was successful.

Genghis Khan was successful.

Tiberius was successful.

Etc, etc, etc.

I have to confess, I don't have the slightest idea as to what you are attempting to imply.

We have Lightwizard telling us that "success" is always the best revenge. I then point out the infamous of history who have "succeeded," and you ask if that is how I decide my political allegiances.

One has to wonder what the level of your reading comprehension might be.

When will the A2K posters recognize that glib doesn't equal coherent?

Mr. Moore is often humorous. The Tight Wing doesn't appreciate his humor, especially when it is mixed with truth about their dirty, bloody hands.

Their attacks upon him personaly and his works are welcomed by me. The more the Tight Wiingnutz spit and spew, the Moore good it does.

Funny that. My thesaurus says they both have articulate and fluent as synonyms...
Anyway Finn, it was just a stupid joke. I wouldn't have posted it but your whole "Hitler was successful" line in a thread about Mike Moore just made me laugh too much to avoid poking fun.

This is part of the Republican-Zionist-Saudi-Arabian conspiracy ring.

They're sitting in their offices in Switzerland plotting on how they will rape mother earth, slaughter animals, pollute the enviroment and how to steal more oil to keep themselves alive after the oil peak, while exploiting the working class.

Michael Moore is on a Canadian crusade to stop these evil-doers from destroying the human race and making the world safer for "the children."

Anyway, Disney is under no obligation whatsoever to distribute that film for whatever reason they see fit. Keep in mind that they aren't preventing Miramax from seeking someone else to do so, as the article states:

"Miramax is free to seek another distributor in North America"

If Moore really wants that film released, then the Weinsteins will probably have to seek someone else to do it unless Disney lightens up (which they won't). All of his (Moore's) decries of "omg free speech violation" are just a bunch of hot air. No one is preventing the distribution of the film, which would be prior restraint and totally illegal; rather, Disney/Miramax is just saying that they won't distribute it.

Tough cookies, Fatass.

Disney is so timid and frightened, it's pathetic.

God forbid if we have a movie about ideas. I'm sure if Moore had made a movie about Bush's great leadership since 9/11, Disney/Miramax would put stills on their plastic lunch pales.

Cowards.

I obviously sticks in their craws and they will go to no length to try and discredit Moore. I'm not entirely receptive to some of his techniques in delivering his message. It's sometimes overstated and off target. That doesn't change that he is a major voice that there are those who would like to play Hitler and destroy his printing press. He has enough money to build another so you'd have to kill him.

How magnanimous to compare him to the Ottoman Turks. It does show someone has at least passed history in high school and can name more famous conquerors from the past than George W. Bush.

I read in the paper this morning that Disney denies that they will not be distributing this film. Said they never said it, blah blah blah. This is getting kind of funny.

Does anyone know who Michael Eisner contributed to in the 2000' presidential election?

Might be telling. Idea

It would be curious -- Variety also says the film will be in theaters on July 2nd whether Disney is the distributor or not.

Whether you buy into Moore's style of delivering his message, he's a voice to be reckoned with and definitely by the surliest of politicians in Washington. Complain and whine about him or make allusions to his weight, it won't change anything one iota. Letting off steam on A2K does make one hell of a sauna.

Adrian - shouldn't that signature read something like I may not agree with everything you say, but I would fight to the death your right to say it.

Disney, as a corporation, has every right to pull any movie they want. Do I agree with Michael Moore? Nope. I personally think he should be placed on a slow boat out of this country one way never to return.

This is great news!

If Moore's latest film is anywhere near as good as 'Bowling for Columbine' was, then it'll be well worth my $9.00 for a ticket.

News Flash: He's not going away, so like I said (and you apparantly have the gun), you're going to have to kill him.
