Well, bust my buttons! That's some vibin' you all are doing! Dad had a much better day today! He was actually awake & able to communicate (though not vocally as he still has a tube down his throat!)
He was in really good spirits until some pain got to him & they gave him 'drugs' to make him feel better. (Fentynil, to anyone who cares - it's a narcotic, so it knocks him out a bit.)

update: he does have a little infection at the site of one of the surgeries done to his leg. & They're turning down the ventilator (breathing machine) little by little to get him to breathe on his own. He is really sick (literally!) of being in the hospital.

Hey! Guess what?! I went up to the hospital yesterday & dad was off the ventilator! And even though his throat was soar he was trying to 'talk up a storm!' Things are progressing very well. We expect him to be moved from ICU to Intermediate Care within the next couple of days. Thank you all for your continued support!
