That's what police officers said when they handcuffed a 97-year old woman and took her to jail for failing to pay a parking ticket in the Dallas Tx surburb of Highland Park.
Good thing, too ! ! !
Damned scofflaws, i hope they slapped her around a little, too, when no one was watching . . .
What was a 97 year old woman doing driving?
phoenix, she was in the back seat.
dys- So how in hell did she get a parking ticket?
lol, I meant in the police car, I don't know about her driving.
Time Out ! ! !
Dys, Phoenix means what was she doing driving in order to have gotten the unpaid tickets.
Phoenix, Dys means that when the police hauled her away, they put her in the back seat.
Poor lady. I was wondering why she was driving myself. If I live that long, I think I'll be getting to know my local taxi drivers and hitching rides from my grandchildren.
Setanta- Oh, now I get it. No matter what is the letter of the law, IMO the police used very poor judgement. How would the cops have felt if they traumatized the old lady so much that she had a coronary and dropped dead???
The monthly trip down to the blue-and-glue.
I am confused, are you all upset that she was arrested, or that she was cuffed?
I'd say you're confused . . .
The folks here are amused, as opposed to upset . . .
I'm upset! Handcuffing an old lady! A-holes!
Ah, Kick, you've just made Emclean's day . . . now he gets to rant about "lawn odor" . . .
Well, I'm always up for a good rant. Come on emclean, let's hear it!
sorry i aint got no rant for this, give me i few days, and i will see what i can come up with. i just missed the entertanment value of the stroy.
