@bobsal u1553115,
Wow. Read the rest at wh.gov. They are not a credible source. They have lied since the law was passed. What do you bet this guy is a fake? Staunch Republican and Fox in the same sentence? If that wasn't written by an Obamafile I don't what is.

Also how would he know it works if he just got it?

Here is another lie that is perpetuated.

Quote:
No, GOP Isn’t The Party of The Rich: Analysis Shows 8 of Top 10 Richest House Districts Represented By Democrats…

Imagine that.

Quote:
Democrats claim the top six, sprinkled along the East and West coasts. Most are in overwhelmingly Democratic states like New York and California.

The richest: New York’s 12th Congressional District, which includes Manhattan’s Upper East Side, as well as parts of Queens and Brooklyn. Democrat Carolyn Maloney is in her 11th term representing the district.

@coldjoint,
Which makes it all the more remarkable that democrats favor helping the poor.

Also, for a go figure fact, red states receive more benefits all the while decrying big government. Kind of like some of my neighbors with republicans signs receiving disability while out jogging in the streets every morning and then mowing their lawns and other's people's lawns for extra under the table cash money.

At 49 Percent Support, Obamacare Hits a High

Quote:
Public support for the Affordable Care Act narrowly notched a new high in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll, while criticism of Barack Obama’s handling of the law’s rollout – although still substantial – has eased from its peak last fall.

Views hardly are enthusiastic: With the year’s sign-up deadline upon us, Americans split on Obamacare, 49 percent in support, 48 percent opposed. But that compares with a 40-57 percent negative rating after the initial failure of the federal enrollment website last November.

@revelette2,
and yesterday, the last day to sign up, just like the ACA supporters had said all along, there was a HUGE rush. Three million hits on the website by 3pm. Almost another million on state sites. At one point, 125,000 people using the website simultaneously. And it looks like the original estimate of 7,000,000 people signing up will be reached. When it hit 4,2 million, the economic experts figured there were enough people signed up to make it economically workable. And it's well beyond that now. From Revelette's post, looks like positive feelings for the ACA are trending up, and the balance has shifted. Good work, Ted Cruz, seven million more people think you suck <sarcasm alert>

@MontereyJack,
The question remains, when are my costs going to go down? My premiums are already $200 higher from last year. When are we going to see the $2400 savings?

@Baldimo,
When are you going to apply for insurance through the ACA?

@Baldimo,
Baldimo,I have no idea what your situation is. Do you have a private plan? Have your premiums EVER gone down before? They always increase, have for years. US private health insurance has always risen faster than the general rate of inflation. Have you actually checked out what is available to you and the costs under Obamacare, or are you just blowing smoke? Is your private plan one of those sucky ones with a low premium but extremely high deductible and little actual coverage in the case of catastrophic need, or is it one with actually good coverage as Obamacare mandates? I know some people's premiums under the ACA wnet up, largely people with much larger incomes than average. Perhaps you're in that group, and I sympathize. But have you actually looked at the alternatives?

@MontereyJack,
Here's the problem MJ. We were told the ACA would lower everyone's insurance costs. It hasn't happened. I have insurance through my employer. Sure the price has always gone up but by maybe $20-$50 a month. This year thanks to the implementation of the ACA, it went up almost $200 a month. I have the same plan this year that I had for the last few years. The only thing that changed was the ACA.

@Baldimo,
I remember ACA proponents saying some, not many, people's premiums might go up, not that everyone's would go down. And all California premiums went down as a result of Obamacare before it even went into effect. I'd check with your employer here, if I were you. And are you sure your coverage didn't get better? Have you checked it? (even if it is the same plan).

@Baldimo,
Why are you blaming the ACA for your insurance company's raising the rate? What is happening is that the insurance company would like you to be in a larger risk pool. And if you resist, well then they'll charge you for that luxury. Before you knock it, look into the ACA at the ACA - not Fox- And develop an informed opinion.

@MontereyJack,
You guys are grasping at straws now. We were told the average family would see cost savings. It hasn't happened for this average family. Costs almost doubled. When are you guys going to listen to the people who are being impacted by this? Maybe 7 million people signed up and are paying for insurance in the ACA now, but how many of those people already had coverage?

@bobsal u1553115,
You are saying I should look into the ACA? Why? I didn't need it before, the coverage and costs were fine. The ACA has created mandates that insurance companies HAD to meet, which caused the price of my insurance to climb.

In fact, the average family has seen cost savings, often substantial. "Average" doesn't mean "everybody".And if you're kvetching because your employer raised your costs, maybe you SHOULD look into it, just like those cases the GOP kept bringing out as supposed examples of people whose costs rose, and who as it turned out had NOT looked into the ACA, where they would have found their costs were lower.

@Baldimo,
So you are purposely making uninformed opinions. You don't have a clue about how ACA can help you. That's a darn shame, it really is. You are angry with something that could help you. You say you don't need it but yet you decry a raising of your rates. Checking into ACA would most likely save you money on your premiums. A $200 increase would surely make me look elsewhere. I'm a vet. I don't whether you are or not, but I feel you should get the same high quality health I get anyways. Ask me if I love single payer, but ACA will work until we all get it,
