@coldjoint,
It's funny you should talk that way Pinkie. Those were the exact same arguments used to eliminate free unions in Germany in the 1930s.

@bobsal u1553115,
Peggy-back on your Keystone XL pipe line jobs that doesn't exist. The GOP's idea of job creation that doesn't exist is now threatening Obama about his veto. All threats and no answers.

Quote:
Boehner warns Obama against Keystone veto
by Reuters Videos 0:35 mins
House Speaker John Boehner says that if President Obama were to veto the Keystone pipeline bill, it would be equivalent to "calling the American people stupid." Rough Cut (no reporter narration).

@cicerone imposter,
What is Obama's excuse does Obama have to veto it now? EPA gave the project a pass. The American people favor moving forward with the pipeline. Obama's only reason for not signing is he doesn't like oil companies and the profits they make. That is not a reason to continue to not pass Keystone. All of his excuses have fallen by the way side.

@Baldimo,
Are you shyting me? It's not about "what the American people want." Where have you been living the past 50 years? Tell us about the GOP's interest in what the American people wants?
1. Great Recession
2. Biggest deficits in history
3. No increase in the minimum wage
4. No equal pay for women
5. Control women's body and health care
6. Discriminate against gays and lesbians
7. Repeal ACA
8. Lower taxes for the wealthy, and pay more for defense; don't pay for any wars started by the GOP (increase the deficit)
9. Voter repression laws in GOP states

Tell us which GOP efforts are in the interest of the American people?

@cicerone imposter,
There is no war on women. So stop with the made up crap.

Once again who controlled Congress from 2006-2010? Who did nothing for 2 years?

Biggest deficits in history? If that's the case why did the Dems vote for them?

Min wage should be handled at the state level and not the federal govt level. Let the states and cities do as they wish, they know what they need. The feds shouldn't be involved. Your favorite city of SF just did that didn't they?

Equal pay for woman is another made up issue and once again shouldn't be an issue for the federal govt.

Control of womens bodies is another state issue and not a place for the feds.

Discrimination against LGBT? It's a none issue for the majority of the US. It is once again a place for the states and not the feds. DOMA was repealed which was a good thing. Let the states do what they need to.

Repeal ACA. Not a bad idea in my opinion. Lets just hope they settle with changes to the law. A repeal won't pass the Pres. Plus their are enough Dems in the Senate to stop any votes. That whole 60 vote deal.

You can stop with this BS. I'll say it again. Which wars were paid for a head of time? None of them, so you can stop with this BS. Has Obama fully paid for any of the bombing actions in the ME? Drones in Pakistan?

Voter repression? Get an ID sometime in the next 2 years and you can vote in any state in the Union. That is pretty plain and simple. They are free for the poor.

@Baldimo,
You are a liar. From NPR.
http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2014/10/15/356265077/supreme-court-blocks-abortion-rules-that-closed-most-texas-clinics

You also lack any knowledge about our Constitution; "all men are created equal." That means women should earn the same as men. Women should have equal access to health care.

You're just too ignorant to understand why the majority of Americans blame GW Bush for the Great Recession. You're too dumb!

I'm pleased to see the polite rational discorse you offer here Cicerone, and the open way in which you back up your assertions with facts and respond to questions put to you. It's all just as you described it. Most impressive!!

@cicerone imposter,
Liar? Talk about knowing the Constitution. Different branches of govt doing their jobs is one thing, allowing the federal govt to make all the rules is another. The Supreme's ruling against Tx only put the laws on hold. They have yet to actually rule for or against the laws. Besides that is the court doing it's job, not the Feds calling the shots for the entire country.

Can you point to any rules that say women are forced to earn less than men? Can you point to any credible studies that actually show women make less than men? I can point to news stories that talk about Obama's own admin and dems staffers who make less than their male counter parts in the same field. Why aren't the Dems leading by example and taking it upon themselves to pay their female workers more? I'll tell you why, it's a ******* sham. Women have equal access to health care. Abortion isn't the same as health care. Abortion is a procedure that does not measure the entirety of womens health care. There are much more important matters in health care than abortion.

I understand why people are upset, I just don't by into the same hype that they do. GW wasn't the greatest President but he wasn't the worst. I always look at not only who was President but I also look at who controlled congress, which you and your cohorts conveniently always neglect. It's pointless to debate with you. You can't even give an honest recounting of what an article really says.

I hope they do, too. 2o16 is a Presidential election. I think two years of GOP/Tea Party hijinks might be what we need. AND GET THE FREAKIN' VOTE OUT. The only way we can beat them is to vote. They only win in low turnout elections. We ARE the majority!

@bobsal u1553115,
We've been through all this before, and the American voter never learns.

Hope is an oxymoron when it comes to political cause and effect. The GOP states legislated voter ID laws to disenfranchise voters, closed down health clinics for women, will defeat any minimum wage increase, discriminates against gays, lesbians, and minorities, and they still win elections.
