What we need and what we have are polars apart. How do 'you' intend to correct this departure from sanity?

Your assumption that I would not vote for any individual who "has those qualities" is based on what?

If they were qualities held by someone running for national office...it would be based on the fact that you stated emphatically that you will no longer vote for ANYONE for national office.

@Frank Apisa,
ALL TRUE! I've given up on national elections - based on my observation that there's nothing to change the current situation of our government's total destruction.

Prove me I'm wrong?

What I posted was,
Quote:

You think there will be a politician who would meet those qualities? They'll get eaten alive in DC. Voting is useless, and a waste of time.

"Prove me I'm wrong????"

C'mon, ci...try taking a refresher course in basic English.

Anyway...you posed a question: "Your assumption that I would not vote for any individual who "has those qualities" is based on what? "

And I gave an instance of why you would not.

Try to keep up.

I know that is what you posted. And Woiyo gave a hypothetical of someone having those qualities...and suggested you would not vote for that person.

Woiyo was correct...according to what you have posted, ci.

Jeez...does this all have to be explained this thoroughly in order for you to grasp it.

The last thing in the world voting is...is useless and a waste of time.

You, and those who think like you, are a huge part of the problem, ci.

And since you have given up...why don't you move out of the United States...to somewhere where the politicians do what YOU expect of politicians.

Or acknowledge that you have given up on the entire world...and are now living a bleak existence filled with hatred for what you perceive as ineptitude in governance.

Have you ever run for office, ci?

More shenanigans from the GOP revealed.
Quote:
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — A Florida judge on Friday ordered legislators to hold a special session to draw up a new congressional map for the state after the old one was ruled to be illegal.

Circuit Judge Terry Lewis ruled that the Florida Legislature must draw up new congressional districts by Aug. 15. Lewis said he will then consider whether to order a special election later this year under this new map.

Lewis in July ruled that the current districts are illegal because they were drawn to benefit the Republican Party.

@Frank Apisa,
You wouldn't understand that those two statements stand on their own without conflict. You should get a life, Frankie boy. You're tortured challenges only proves your little mind has nothing better to do in your life.

You're grasping at straws, and those straws don't have that much value.

"Prove me I'm wrong?" is perilously close to absurd, ci.

It is not the kind of sentence anyone who thinks himself to be especially gifted in English prose would write.

Sorry you cannot see that...but you do have difficulty with the language.

You never did answer me...is English your first and primary language?

I have a life...a very, very enjoyable one, ci. I do not have to use stuff like "Frankie boy" to make it seem worthwhile.

My "challenges" now. I just asked you to tell me what you meant by your challenges...and now you throw my "challenges" into the mix.

What challenges, ci?

Oh, my aching sides! Laughing

That sentence sounded like someone "grasping at straws", ci.

C'mon. Have some fun. Don't get all worked up.

@cicerone imposter,
I said I DOUBT you would vote for someone with those qualities. That is based upon the fact that you have absolutely no ability to be objective since you paint all with a single brush.

@woiyo,
Don't draw conclusions very accurately, do you?

My conclusion about those who believe the President is Kenyan, Muslim, Nazi, socialist ad nausea is they're full of **** and their other opinions are probably going to be just as shitty.

Why are you so full of ****?

You mean like those people who say "all Muslims are killers", or "all Democrats are socialists", or "everything the President does is wrong" - people like you?

Jesus, again we see with border security the GOP bosses scheduling votes for a bill that they intend to pass, only to drop it because they cant pass it. This is gross political incompetence, pretty much as bad as it gets.

@MontereyJack,
What Obama meant when he said, "you didn't build that" is the simple fact that without the developed infrastructure, our economy (and all other developed countries) would come to a stand still. Roads, highways, bridges, communication systems, airports, railroads, utilities, and all the services that governments provides are all necessary for any economy to operate efficiently.

Without any of these infrastructure, no business will be able to thrive or exist.

Many people fail to understand simple Econ 101 principles.

@bobsal u1553115,
What they don't also get is the simple fact that most of our education was free. That's all part and parcel of what our government has done for our citizens so that we have the tools to create jobs. Most did not do it 'on their own.'

Many countries still do not provide free education, nor do they have roads, railroads, airports, utilities, and all the government services necessary for their country to work.

We are a country of immigrants; many in this country has already forgotten this recent history, and would deny others to immigrate to this country.

What US company built and paid for our interstate road system. The companies didn't build that on their own.
