Hi Jameson and welcome!
Did you get to submit a bluff?
Hi all, nice to see you again. I'm taking a vacation from the politics threads.....too annoying. Anyway, the Cafe is getting very active these days, so if you're so inclined, stop by for a visit.

Hi George! Yep, I got my bluff in! Thanks
So far 8 bluffs have come in from
Jameson, Realjohnboy, Littlek, George, Felix (meow), Equus, Diane, Clary
I will post the bluffs tonight at 8 PM, anyone else want to join get your bluffs in.
Thank you.
JTF
Here are the bluffs for Cirronebula
1. An elevation of the skin filled with a yellowish liquid, usually found on or near the head.
2. A sorghum-based meal common in the former Italian colony of Eritrea (now Ethiopia).
3. A star nursery in the area of M16, about 7,000 lightyears distant.
4. a thin cirrus veil without structure
5. A galaxy in which the pattern of stars suggests curling, wispy clouds.
6. Smelly stuff used on furniture to keep me from scratching--nice try, humans.
7. Nebulae of recognizable features: thin spread, suggesting cirrus clouds.
8. A lingering wisp of smoke, such as that left by a cigarette in a still room.
9. the diffused light appearing to surround the moon in humid weather
Be sure to PM your guess in to me.
Thanks.
JTF
The guesses, justthefax, are made by posting here, not via pm.
I'm pondering. Several cloud-like bluffs...
hmmmm... a trend. Something outside the trend, then.........
#1 because it's gross or #9....? Or #8?
I'll go with grossly standing alone: #1 please.
I'm going with #9...number 9.
BTW, I would like to be the Dasher for the next round unless someone else feels an urgent desire. It has been awhile since I did my duty and I won't have time again until after the holidays. After this round ends, of course. -johnboy-
3 or 9, wait 7 is sounding good also.
Okay, please put me in for #9.
~Jameson
9 does look good, but I don't like to vote for a bluff that most everyone else is voting for--unless I'm sure it's right, sooooo I'll vote for 3.
Felix is pouting now that Taffy seems to have disappeared and he refuses to vote until her return.
I'm going with #8 just because I like the imagery.
we need two more votes,
Clary & Equus
Thanks we can wrap this up today and on to the next round
Thanks everyone.
JTF
Felix,
Your votes are always so PURFECT.
Star Dust [my cat] Told me to say that.
I like the imagery of 8 too, but think I'll pick 3. A star nursery - impossibly cutesy!
...a star is born...and now we know where.
Equus
Looks like you are the last to vote.
I'm waiting to hear who wrote #8--it is quite beautiful.
Time to bring this round of Balderdash to an end. Thanks to all who participated.
The Word was CIRRONEBULA
1. By Jameson, An elevation of the skin filled with a yellowish liquid, usually found on or near the head.
1 vote, Littlek
2. realjohnboy, A sorghum-based meal common in the former Italian colony of Eritrea (now Ethiopia).
0 votes
3. littlek, A star nursery in the area of M16, about 7,000 lightyears distant.
2 votes, Diane & Clary
4. Justthefax, a thin cirrus veil without structure
NO VOTES, the true meaning as in Websters Unabridged.
Nov votes = 2 points * 2 = 4 Points.
5. George, A star nursery in the area of M16, about 7,000 lightyears distant.
6. Felix, A star nursery in the area of M16, about 7,000 lightyears distant.
An PURFECT bluff, but the humans did not go for it this time. Star Dust is not around me right now, but she said Meow, Meow, Meow.
7. Diane, Nebulae of recognizable features: thin spread, suggesting cirrus clouds.
8. Equus, A lingering wisp of smoke, such as that left by a cigarette in a still room.
9. Clary, the diffused light appearing to surround the moon in humid weather
2 votes, realjohnboy, Jameson.
Recap
Justthefax 4
Jameson 1
Realjohnboy 0
littlek 2
George 0

Equus, 1
Clary 2
On to the next round, thank you everyone.
Good Friday evening, yall. Congrats, JTFax for running a great round and for fooling everyone. It's rare for the dasher to ever score points.
Before yall begin your weekend reveling (you do revel, don't you), tuck this word into your memory: OLIGOTOKOUS.
This round could take a while because of the Thanksgiving holiday next week.
But here's the trade-off. When I do post the bluffs there will be some
from Special Guests. Could it be Janet Jackson, losing part of her costume right here on Balderdash? Or Jessica Simpson, lyp-synching
(sp?) OLIGOTOKOUS.
pm me, please. -johnboy-
