Sorry- I was away from the computer for a few days. And if I had just voted on cirronebula, maybe Cirronebula would be President instead of Bush. Darn.

balderdash: OLIGOTOKOUS
Good evening. Everything is under control at Balderdash Central. I have meticulously recorded bluffs from the most recent players but I have also gone in search of some former participants. Fascinating. I found one living, quite decadently, in a coffee house in NYC. Another, a mere few blocks away, lives in a cardboard refrigerator box underneath a bridge.
Am I making this up? Of course not.

If anyone new would like to play...here are the rules: The word is OLIGOTOKOUS. Please pm me with what you think this word might mean (no fair looking it up, anyone can do that). The idea is to come up with a bluff definition that might fool other players.
Since this a long holiday weekend I won't close this round down until about Monday. Thanks. -realjohnboy-

balderdash
I pmed wcbethmd moments ago. If using the "reply to pm" gambit doesn't work, wcb, post here and we'll figure out some way to get you into the game. Thanks and welcome to A2K and to Balderdash.

(edited to add: wcb pmed me back almost instantly with a bluff. Thanks for playing. If there are any other folks who would like to join us, please do. If you don't yet have pm privileges, that is no problem. Post your interest here and we'll get you into the game).

I've dragged this puppy uphill, through the wet red clay, to the point that I will be able to offer 16 possible definitions of OLIGOTOKOUS.
I think that is going to be the best that I can do, unless some new players wish to join.
I pandered to some old players (using the ploy that this was alumni/homecoming week to celebrate this game's second anniversary) and that worked.
But I was saddened that some of my pm's never left my outbox: firstthought and taffy le blanc, peace&love, drom, josecurevo and jameson (who only joined us in the last round).
So it goes, I guess. I'll try to post all of the definitions tomorrow with voting left open until Monday or so.
I hope y'all have a nice holiday weekend. -rjb-

Realjohnboy, thank you for going to the effort of finding some of the oldtimers who haven't shown up lately, they've been missed.

Dys and I will be in Denver for thanksgiving, but we'll be back late Saturday.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING BALDERDASHERS!!!
