It must be something icky, but #14 sounds so good--probably a bluff by drom--but it reeled me in.
Felix, of course, is quite certain a Scottish kitten would play with something with such a silly name. Darned cute, those Scottish kittens.
Diane picks #14
Felix Noir picks #8
Who said they were going to get likkered up? May I come along? Haven't done that in a loooong time. I promise not to get sickered by the likker.
(Stop me)
Tam likes no. 1, thanks for waiting - no he is working this Saturday taking 20 teenagers to Plymouth!!
so sorry, I was on vacation this week. I, like devries, like both 14 and 4, but I'll go with #4.
Balderdash
Votes all seem to be in. It may take me awhile to compile.

I had a pretty good round going with ICKER. As usual, though there was some piling on at the end.
#1 (by devreriesj) Undesireable Element, intrigued tam
#2 (littllek) Butterfly Breeder. attracted p&l
#3 (cav) Schoolboy w Cooties, disgusted everyone
#4 (CORRECT ANSWER) Corn Ear, picked by cav, devriesj and littlek
MORE ON THAT LATER
#5 (clary) Fishing Basket, caught drom
#6 (p&l) Frog Eggs, appealed to equus and jespah
#7 (tam) Pliable Adhesive, got george stuck (WELCOME, TAM)
#8 (taffy) Scottish Kitten, amused felix
#9 (felix)) Ripe Mouse, smelled right to taffy and ehbeth
#10 (rjb) African Spider, bit clary
#11 (george) Software Fix, made sense to margo
#12 (margo) Clicker Toys, clicked with no one
#13 (ehbeth) Twisted Eclair, also fell flat
#14 (drom)) Problem Plays, drew an audience of one-diane
#15 (equus) Fish Viscera, stunk as far as vote-getting
#16 (diane) School Hazing, dazed no player
#17 (jespah) Record Thingy And Probably The Longest Bluff Ever Posted But That's Okay Because It's Cool To Remember Real Records Of Whatever RPM, but no votes
Back to the correct answer (#4): First Thought nailed the correct answer within minutes of my posting the word, remembering her (?) study of John Burns in school. Well done.
And someone else (drom, I think, but I'll have to check) came so close to choosing #4 before being distracted.
I'll have to check my data entry here and come up with the scoring. Please let me know if I have made any errors.
So who is next? -johnboy-

John Burns? Robert or Rabbie, I meant.
I'll go with FUSTIAN if it's still open.
Yippee, littlek, FUSTIAN it is. I wouldn't expect much over the holiday weekend but everyone should be back on Tuesday and we can get a new round rolling. Good luck with being Dasher. -rjb-
I figured that we could pick it back up after the holiday. Thanks.
Dammit, I so wanted it to be the record thingie! Fustian, eh?
Hmmm...A member of the Order of Fusties? Nah.
Thanks again, RJB, for a great round and, especially, for PMing me. I hate to miss a round, but too often forget.
I know fustian. Does this mean I can't vote, can't bluff, can't play? Drom is bound to know it too; it's rather a common word in Eng Lit!
clary...you should pm littlek with your definition.
If it turns out your definition matches the correct one you get 3 points and you are out of the round (ie you can neither submit a bluff nor vote). If littlek gets a second correct definition that person also gets 3 points and the round is over right then. If a third person pms littlek, that player gets nothing because the round ended immediately upon the receipt of the second correct answer.
The dasher can try another word or give up and let another dasher try. I hope this is clear.
Oh dear, I was worried the Brits might know this one.
icker
rjb excellent round but what this firstthought -her- its him . is this game part of the battle of the sexes. Been at the old toddy wine have we?
