@chai2,
Question re this picture tsar. I got it from a link in your story.
Text accompanying it:
"Saw this woman on the uptown 5 this morning at around 9:15 a.m. She had set up a cozy little corner for herself and was eating a banana... The banana was taking up the last open seat [and] leaving a smear of banana stuff all over for the next commuter to sit on."
First off, and this might just be me, I can't believe someone would, especially this woman, would be eating, in particular a banana, on a subway.
Second, if she's so superior, why isn't she above ground taking a cab? Is the subway a lot faster? I know it must be cheaper, but she looks like she can afford it. Although of course looks can be deceiving.
Third, if someone asked her to move her banana peel, or just picked it up and put it under the seat and sat down, would she freak out that someone asked her, or touched her belongings. Could/would she say "no, you can't sit here"
I know people don't talk to each other on subways, but this just seems silly that someone wouldn't just swipe her banana peel away and sit down, or ask someone to move their bag.
