@PUNKEY,
No just asking in general even in texting why they'd do that.

@Romeo Fabulini,
Now I can go with that. The person just likes the females name.

You sure got a lot of attitude, if I was sending you text messages I'd be saying a certain word a lot, it begins with B and it ain't Barbara

Maybe he puts your name in each text because he's texting lots of people and wants someway of tracking each conversation's progress. Assuming by text you mean SMS on a non-smartphone. That scenario still sounds creepy.
Is there a need though when its someone you've been texting for years? Bust saying person couldn't forget cuz they're used of texting that person.Even if so throughout the entire convo who is that forgetfull even if your texting a lot.

@lisa1471,
If he kept saying some other female's name... that would be a problem. (Believe me women do not like that).
Yeah but once the initial conversation started he doesn't have to say anything.He can use sweety or babe.get me? I'm talking bout sayin name you dint even hv to keep sayin anything even nor to make mistake just chat without constantly saying your bane.
Lisa, I agree. It's not a natural way of speaking or writing. Is there any particular context when he does this? Sometimes we'll overuse a person's name when we are telling them what to do - or not to do. Sometimes, we will use it to express disapproval or firmness. Is anything like that going on?
Heres an example...wassup Lisa how are you today?I'm tired.Lisa I passed a lot of accidents in one day.....that's text #1. Omg Lisa your right Lisa I just hope today be better...text #2 all in one day...Thank goodness I'm.off of work today early Lisa I'm tired.text #3. Ok yeah I know how you feel Lisa n your right......usually substitution are used or just talk to person.
I don't see the big deal Lisa. We all have our quirks.
But if you don't like it, then by all means ditch the guy. You obviously aren't that into him. I am sure that there is some other woman who will be attracted to him.
A good many people don't know of any difference between written and spoken English - that is, they write the way they speak. Perhaps this guy talks like that. I must say, I am beginning to feel sorry for him. I hope he finds a nice girl soon.
Lisa471, U R the dumb ass around here, lisa471, sorry 2 have to tell U that, lisa471, but it's the truth, lisa471, U sho am a beyotch lisa471 and so is yo mama lisa471.

@contrex,
It's not being used the way I suspected, but I also hope he finds someone who appreciates the drum beat of hearing her name in every sentence.
What do you know? How did you expected it.What's different did I specify in question? I gave examples cuz you asked me how.I didn't say he was Stewie on family guy.he keeps sayin the name.your trying to ne EXACT...go somewhere fool

I once dated a woman for 5 weeks and we got on alright for a while, but in all that time she never once called me by name (Mick) in all that time!
On the phone she'd just say "Hello" and "Goodbye", and when we were out she'd say "Let's go here" or "Let's go there" etc, never once did she ever say the word 'Mick', so it meant there was a sort of barrier between us and we just drifted apart. Was she weird or what?

Some people don't use your name. My sister doesn't. Personally I think it's only polite to use a person's name at least once in a conversation.

it is odd, it is the sign that the guy is pressing too hard and/or lacks confidence. Someone told him that using the other persons name in convo helps them to like you, so now he goes over board. For me this would be a problem, I would (if female) tend to pass this person by for possible bed partner and would also discount his friend value.
