Where are the Conservative voices?

There's a world of difference between attacking an individual and attacking a significant part of the world's population.

If anyone wants to go and **** in Sarah Palin's mouth I'm not going to stop them, it would make a change, the **** normally comes out of her mouth.

The nature of the bigoted defamatory attacks on a religious or ethnic group is wrong. That is true with any religious or ethnic group.

Bigoted attacks against ethnic groups (be they Jews, Christians or Muslims) are destructive to our society and harmful to people targeted. They are not related in any way to the silly political sniping you are suggesting.

Right now, these bigoted attacks against Muslims are somehow more acceptable than attacks against any other religion.

Take ColdJoint's posts and replace the word Muslim with the word Jew. Then ask yourself if any community would (or should) accept these slurs.

What is Max 's SPECIFIC definition of a bigoted attack,
as distinct from an attack that is non-bigoted??

How interesting. Coldjoint gets a "thumb down" for quoting and thereby exposing an undeniably sexist statement. (By the way, the women in my immediate life -- namely, my wife and our two daughters -- are extremely intelligent and have done far better than I did academically when I was young.) I guess whether or not one becomes offended by sexist statements is contingent upon the fact of who makes such statements. Ah, ain't politics grand?

I'm no Sarah Palin fan, but I think liberals should refrain from talking about doing vulgar, degrading things like that to a woman. Even hearing Bachmann and Palin called ditzes bothers me almost as much hearing Hillary called a bitch.

I wish that Hillary had better respect for a citizen's personal freedom,
but I 'd never impute canine heritage to her.

In another century, my cousin Norma's husband
got mad at their teenage boy. He told Norma
that their boy was a "son of a bitch".
Someone asked him:
"if he 's a 'son of a bitch' then where does that leave Norma?"
to whom he had been addressing his complaints about the "son of a bitch".
