Interesting Phrasing of the Golden Rule from the Koran

Quote:
لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يُحِبَّ لِأَخِيهِ أَوْ قَالَ لِجَارِهِ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ

None of you has faith until he loves for his brother or his neighbor what he loves for himself.

Source: Sahih Bukhari 13; Sahih Muslim 45, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi

It isn't unique to Christianity, or the religions of Moses--actually
the 'Golden Rule" is the central tenet of Jainism.

Sorry, I guess you missed the point--bigotry comes from
an irrational obsession--religion has a tends to be irrational and it easily becomes obsessive..
I used to be irrationally, obsessively in love with a blonde named Joyce.
By your definition, did that make me a bigot ?

Did he? I stopped watching a couple seasons back.

I guessed that that white-haired leader of that Visualize cult might be Red John. Was I even close?

Does he know for sure that he got the right guy this time?

As for David's obsession, I agree with his distaste of authoritarianism.
My problem is with David's narrow definition.
Communism is only one type of authoritarian politics.

There're many types or authoritarians.
SO STIPULATED.
I 've never doubted that fact.
As a boy, I offered anti-authoritarian arguments
against the parents of friends my age.
In high school, I went on NYC radio and denounced
my school principal for extortion, qua his usurpation
of de facto taxation of the students
(inordinate pressure to contribute to the "General Organization").

I doubt that; if Arizonans did not think much of Mexicans,
that did not make us try to CONTROL them, necessarily,
not to exercise authority over them. Its just holding opinions
about their race (unless u define racist differently).

If New Yorkers residually hate the Moslems because of friends
or family members murdered in the World Trade Center,
that has nothing to do with AUTHORITARIANISM.
People 's emotions, including hate, fear, resentment, love, joy
are all personal and private matters that are irrelevant to authoritarianism.

You just ask questions. You don't answer any. Why is that?

Maybe you would expand that statement. I believe that remains have been found of Indian ancestors dating back to 13000 years ago on the American continent.

@RABEL222,

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/9110838/Stone-age-Europeans-were-the-first-to-set-foot-on-North-America.html

By Matthew Day

In a discovery that could rewrite the history of the Americas, archaeologists
have found a number of stone tools dating back between 19,000
and 26,000 years, and bearing remarkable similarities to those made in Europe.
All of the ancient implements were discovered along the north-east coast of the USA.

Hard to tell what those remains are, as Native Americans routinely prevent any scientific examination of such remains, going so far as to outright destroy priceless scientific data whenever they can (which unfortunately is quite often).

I'm not sure that we as a society should give people who destroy priceless scientific data the right to then dictate what that data would have indicated had they not destroyed it.

Permit me to point out, in my own defense,
that I am a NATIVE AMERICAN, having been born in Queens County, New York,
but I have NEVER prevented any scientific examination
of remains!!! I 've heard that the Indians have been guilty of that.

@OmSigDAVID,
Looked this up for you.

Quote:
Though adherents of the theory appeal to recent archaeological finds, their position has in general not been well received. Many archaeologists have criticized the proposed similarities as insignificant and just as likely to be due to chance as to shared origins. As one recent scholar has put it, "Few if any archaeologists—or, for that matter, geneticists, linguists, or physical anthropologists—take seriously the idea of a Solutrean colonization of America."[4] Two recent DNA studies serve to weaken the case that Haplogroup X2A migrated to the Americas by way of the Atlantic.

That quote does not even tell us the name of the "scholar"
who offers this criticism. Is the "scholar" YOU??
Accordingly, we cannot even begin to judge
whether to credit his opinions. For all we know,
his scholarship cud be a Ph. D in music.

We cannot start to guess
whether he has conflicts of interest,
e.g., being an Indian.

Here is some hate speech. Brace yourself, it is from a Muslim.
Quote:
Still no action has been taken against this jihadist psychopath. He is still running around loose on the San Francisco State University campus, no doubt armed with the blade he loves so much. Can a student with politically correct opinions (pro-jihad terror, anti-Israel) possibly ever face discipline on a university campus these days?

"California Student Leader Wants to Decapitate ‘All Who Support the IDF," by Lori Lowenthal Marcus for the Jewish Press, December 11:

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2013/12/sfsu-muslim-student-leader-wants-to-decapitate-all-who-support-the-idf.html

Too bad he is not a Conservative. Max would straighten his ass out.

@coldjoint,
This might be too much for you to understand ColdJoint, but I will try to explain this for you.

Liberals want

1. To keep God out of our laws and our government.
2. To have an inclusive society that accepts peoples differences and assures that homosexuals and people of any religion are assured full rights.
3. To solve problems without violence or military action.

I hate to break it too you Sweet Cheeks, but violent jihadists terrorists (who want laws based on God, hate homosexuals and justify violence) aren't liberals.

These violet jihadists are your kind of people. The only problem is they are from the wrong religion.

If they simply called themselves Christians, you would be cheering them on.

LOL, The phrase "violet jihadists" was a typo I just noticed too late for the hamsters to let me fix. But on second thought, it makes me chuckle.
