wisdom dictates I delete my post here, don't want to be tooooo offensive.
and wisdom is always the lady
Ahem...class, you're all very rowdy today!
bib's got a rule, be careful of your knuckles
NOT MUCH DIFFERENT. CONSIDERING THAT ALL
OF OUR WORLD'S RELIGIONS OR FAITHS HOLD
THE SAME CONSISTENT KERNELS OF TRUTH - THE
ONLY VARIETY IS IN THE NAMES, DATES, IN THE
LITTLE THINGS. ALL SPIRITUAL BEINGS HAVE LONG
AND CONSISTENTLY UNDERSTOOD THAT A LIFE
WHICH IS LIVED UNEXAMINED, IS A LIFE THAT IS
NOT WELL LIVED. THERE WAS VERY LITTLE "NEW"
SAID BY JESUS, THAT HAD NOT ALREADY BEEN
EXPRESSED EARLIER IN ANOTHER TIME, ANOTHER
PLACE .... IT IS ALL TRUE. NATURALLY IT'S BETTER
TO LEARN AND GROW THROUGH OUR EXPERIENCES,
& THUS, BE IT JESUS' WORDS OR THE WORDS OF
BUDDHISM, LIFE GOES ON AND ON AND ON.
THE END.
OH MAN DYS, YOU TOTALLY BLEW MY
THEORY THAT THE LOST YEARS WERE
ACTUALLY SPENT IN TIBET. WHERE
ARE YOU GETTING YOUR FACTS FROM?
Bob: you don't sound very confident of what your future is! I sense a touch of Naturalism mixed with a sprinkling of Fatalism - perhaps Humanism is your doctrine...
How would the world be without Jesus? Probably no America, hehe.
I disagree techno
I dislike these pointless counterfactual arguments.
What would Jesus have been like if the Earth had developed a run away greenhouse effect like Venus?

How do you respond to comments like this? Believe me I'm not posting this to incite, far from it. I think it is a disgrace to insult deeply held beliefs of others no matter what their faith. But how does a Christian, from a specifically Christian point of view argue with someone like Maimonides (who as you know was no fool).
In Chapter 10 of the English Translation, Maimonides' Mishna Torah curses Jesus Christ:
"It is a mitzvah [religious duty], however, to eradicate Jewish traitors... and to cause them to descend to the pit of destruction, since they cause difficulty to the Jews and sway the people away from God, as did Jesus of Nazareth and his students, and Tzadok, Baithos, and their students. MAY THE NAME OF THE WICKED ROT".
Who knows guys??? There are infinte to the power of infinite number of responses to this question!
I guess we'd have to place Jesus in the times in which he lived. He always seemed to be reminding the people, in everything he said, that the presence to seek for solace, love, and to revive sanity, is within us and not present at all where we may be worshiping idols of stone & iron - after which occurred a mass barbeque followed by sex orgies.
'Tis strange, no? that most all religions teach this concept in some way, that we all have an inner teacher. Wouldn't that mean that NOT EVERYONE must be a "Christian." We learn things exactly where we are, at our own pace!
So, assuming Jesus was never born, would we still be worshiping the wrong things? No, "we" probably would not exist. We were all "saved" that 2,000 years ago. It has been PEOPLE who have warped and twisted this man's simple teachings. And, yeah, leaving that gross picture of his death, with "Christians"creating a hatred for him by his very own people.
HAPPY EASTER TODAY! (I'M NOT IN A CHURCH).
"When the student is ready the teacher will appear."

As I understand it, the Jesus drama started out as a relatively provincial event until Paul turned it into the foundation of HIS church. Without Paul, if my understanding is correct, the Jesus drama would have remained a provincial event.
Enjoy your fried rabbit in peace and love!
What stupid %#&&*@! created him, anyway? c.i.
paul
C.I., as I'm sure you know, nobody created Paul (in the strict sense of the term, "create"); like a tree, Paul just grew, requiring conditons such as a moist environment, germinated seed, and nutrition. We tend to think that Nature's things have to be created like the carpenter "creates" a wooden house (thus "The Creator"). Actually they grow like the trees that provide the carpenter with his wood.
Sorry for this episode of seriousness.
"jesus"
how about this for radical thinking: Jesus never was born!!!! wow....
Responding to the thread's question:
About the same as it is now, today.
