Clot busting pharmas are prettyt much atanard fare in even small town hospitals with no ST cert.

Im at a high stroke level risk because of my ATrial Fib . Im on a coumadin regimen that Ive got my own home testing machine an sampling clock . (It cost us but its a way that I test myself frequently (weekl because I metabolize the coumadin quickly). SO I e- send the data to my cardiologst and she makes prescription changes.

I read -- maybe incorrectly -- that what hospital you are taken to upon having a stroke can determine your outcome. That one should tell the ambulence driver (assuming one can speak) to not to go to the nearest hospital but to a particular hospital designated for stroke care.

hmmm, in an emergency, the stroke intervention is fairly routine now. Same chemicals. Follow up, not sure what the gains are
