@RexRed,
We have the absolute right to protest, (that is unless the government denies your permit)

We have the absolute right to privacy, (that is unless a judge give the spy agencies a warrant to wiretap your phone)

We have the absolute right to own land, (that is unless the government decides to run a railroad through your property)

We have the absolute right to a fair trial (that in unless the government declares you an enemy combatant)

What exactly gives the government the right to trump these rights?

Answer:
The fundamental right to "the pursuit of happiness".

How can happiness be pursued when tea party gun crazies are "fondling their guns" and exposing them to people in a threatening manner without regard to the rule of law?

David you are simply wrong and nothing in this world will get that through your thick, numb-skull head...

No, Rex. My penis is normal and average and circumcised.
If it were possible to change it,
I 'd leave it the same as it is.
I will admit that I have never liked my face,
and I dislike my un-sightly blubber gut,
of which I 'm making an effort to rid myself,
but my penis is OK in terms of size and
structural configuration, tho I think
maybe it got too dark, after puberty.
Is that what u had in mind ?

Other than that, it is satisfactory
and it has been since I first became obsessed with guns.

@RexRed,

The issue of gun control is not
under government control.
People can and DO make their own functional guns.
Some of those gunsmiths (who take extraordinary pride in their work),
sell for a lot more in quality gunstores, than guns of commercial manufacture.

Last night, on CBS News, thay showed a small army of primitive Africans
with "home made guns". Making guns is not new technology.

Under federal law, making your own gun is perfectly legal.

While walking through the parking lot of an apartment complex
in Houston, Texas a man was confronted by an armed robber
who demanded his belongings. The man responded by drawing a gun
and shooting the robber twice, causing the thief to flee.
Police captured the criminal a short time later at a local hospital.

We don t know whether he used a HOME MADE GUN,
or not, Rex.

In my youth, we protested many times.
I dont believe that we ever had a "permit."

then everyone can see u; no privacy.

Yea. See the 4th Amendment.

then every bum in the streets wud become a landowner.

I have always despised
and opposed government 's "power of eminent domain."
The victim of this has a Constitutional Right to fair compensation for it.

If it were up to ME, government wud have NO power of "eminent domain."

RexRed wrote:

That 's not true.
What if the D.A. refuses to prosecute???

RexRed wrote:

Not if u r a citizen
and u remain inside America.

RexRed wrote:

Government has NO RIGHTS.
It only has authority.

RexRed wrote:
Answer:
The fundamental right to "the pursuit of happiness".
No. Government has NEVER raised that allegation
to justify any of its intrusions upon the Individual citizen.
That statement is false, and it has no merit.
U cannot prove otherwise.

RexRed wrote:

Ez; all kinds of ways, Rex, e.g., going to good restaurants for fine meals,
going to Walt Disney World, going to Las Vegas,
going on any fine quality vacation, regardless of any gun fondling.
No harm in that.

RexRed wrote:

without regard to the rule of law?
No. That is "brandishing".
In my current State, Florida, there is a ten year prison term
for "brandishing." I have never advocated doing that.

RexRed wrote:

Rex, it is my position that each citizen
has the Natural Right and the Constitutional Right to defend himself
from the predatory violence of man or beast.
There is nothing "simply wrong" with that.

Shot him twice at point blank range...and the guy fled.

I wondered about that too. I suspect that
a very lite round was used; (maybe a .22).

I deem that to be irresponsible,
but everyone must make his choice,
by HIS criteria and tolerate the results.
I 'd have used a .44 special round.

Bystander Stabs Career Criminal to Death
With Pocket Knife During Attempted Robbery

MAY 24 2014
BY DAN CANNON

This one isn’t a defensive gun use, but it is a story of defense
and we always like to highlight those. This story is also a good
example of improvisation during (hopefully) rare times when
you find yourself without a firearm.

A man armed with a box cutter entered a Florida Kangaroo gas station,
brandished a box cutter and demanded money from the clerk.

A bystander, armed only with his pocket knife, attempted to stop the
robber. An altercation ensued. During the fight, the suspect was
stabbed by the bystander.

According to First Coast News,

Witness Sharon Shebester said her 37-year-old son Anthony “Tony”
Shebester was inside the convenience store when Lohman allegedly
entered the store with a tee shirt wrapped around his face. Sharon
followed Lohman into the store and saw him holding a box cutter
to the throat of the store clerk, a man in his late sixties or early
seventies named Joe.

Tony sprang into action, according to Sharon, jumping over the counter,
wrestling Lohman away from the clerk and attempted to subdue him.
Lohman was allegedly able to throw Tony around like a rag doll,
Sharon detailed, even though Tony is much larger in height and weight
than Lohman. In the midst of the struggle, Tony stabbed Lohman in
the center of the chest. Sharon called police and Tony tried to stop
the bleeding, giving Lohman CPR.

The suspect had died of his injuries before police could even arrive
on the scene.

According to The Florida Times Union, the suspect is identified as 42
year old Jeffery Charles Lohman. Lohman has a criminal history dating
all the way back to the early 1990′s.

Police are still investigating the incident, but this would seem to
clearly fall under Florida’s self defense laws based on the facts
currently available.

Gun Control Supporter Runs Amok,
Slaughters 7 by Gunfire

BREAKING: Family of California Mass Shooter Are
“Against Guns and Support Gun Control”

MAY 24 2014
BY DAN CANNON

As I’m sure you’re already aware, there was a mass shooting in California
last night that left several people dead and several others wounded.

It is currently believed that Elliot Rodger, the son of Hunger Games
Assistant Director Peter Rodger, committed the act. The Rodger
family released a statement saying they believe Elliot was the responsible party.

During the statement, made by the family’s attorney, it was revealed
that the family has “no history of guns” and that they are staunchly
anti-gun and support gun control laws
.

@RexRed,
Aren't you a tab bit sexist. Nothing wrong with women using guns, they just need to receive the proper training just like anyone else. Those poor ladies were not instructed properly and more than likely they were setup by who ever took them shooting to look foolish.

Many of u know that I LOVE seeing victims kill their predators
with defensive guns or ANY weapon.

I was pleased to see, on the Animal Planet Channel,
that a caiman bit down on on electric eel,
who gave him a 4O second jolt = fried caiman!!! That was fun.

I also like to see water buffalos (hind) kick lions in the jaw.
That can have the desired effect.

Rex, your post is semi-fraudulent, in that he was not a conservative,
and he was NOT a member of the Court when he said that
(tho u show him all dressed up in his Court suit).
He offered no jurisprudential support for his conclusion.
He merely sold an article to Parade Magazine,
a supermarket tabloid, like the Enquirer, for a few dollars.
His opinion came out between the ads for horoscopes and hemorrhoid medications.

The US Supreme Court was very thorough n meticulous in its analysis of the history
of the 2nd Amendment and in parsing its exact grammar
(BOTH analyses supporting the pro-freedom interpretation of the 2nd Amendment)
in both D.C. v. HELLER 554 U.S. 570 (2008) and in McDONALD v. CHICAGO 561 U.S. 3025 (2010)

ROBBERS GET A ONE-GUN SALUTE

A 28-year-old veteran was having lunch at a Quiznos in Houston, Texas
when he spotted two men mask themselves and then enter a GameStop.
The veteran retrieved a handgun from his vehicle and went to confront
the criminals as they exited the store. One of the robbers aimed
a firearm at the veteran, prompting the armed citizen to fire.
During an exchange of gunfire, one of the robbers was struck and killed,
while the other fled the scene.

The deceased robber’s accomplice was captured by police a short time later.
