@ehBeth,
I know all dogs are loyal, stay by their "parents" side, wait for them and seemingly are best mates, but these two you can clearly see just how much, on all accounts .Such beautiful shots.. of Cleo and Bailey... thank you Beth...

Only thing I love more than dog photos is the dogs themselves. Thanks.

This thread puts me in mind of my late lamented pets. The one that looms largest for me is Billie, a parakeet, and my first warm-blooded pet. She was the only living creature on the planet (other than my grandfather) who could boss my mother around. A beloved member of the family. She died when I was ten. I think of her with love. I still can hear her chirp and her jabber. I can still see her dancing to Elvis. I can still see her dive-bombing the dog. I could go on and on and on. But I'll stop here. Sigh.

@Setanta,
They are beautiful photos - you can tell how happy Cleo and Bailey are, and how much they were loved. So sad for you and what you are going through at the moment.

@vonny,
Cleo really really liked supervising hamburgboy when he was working on the Christmas bird (the only way I could tell the many pix I have of similar scenes apart is hamburgboy's varying sweaters)

https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/934893_640702162610144_949153429_n.jpg

she also really loved to sit on the recliner with mrs hamburger and get her belly rubbed

https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc1/600818_640702459276781_600357923_n.jpg

but where she felt she REALLY belonged was next to her fella

https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/940901_640697279277299_134706727_n.jpg

or just looking deeply into his eyes

https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/7741_640701419276885_1170803599_n.jpg

though really the whole kitchen supervision thing was pretty important when visiting Camp Hamburger

https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/941609_640697859277241_832646305_n.jpg

and Bailey's pretty fond of the fella too

(we were in the back of hamburgboy's car - Bailey's on the back ledge ... snoozing with his best pal as a pillow)

@ossobuco,
Looking at some of these old - new photos is making me really happy. Sometimes it seems she's thinking 'how did I get so lucky'. She really was a very happy dog - right up to the last confused days and weeks.

@ehBeth,
Oh ehBeth, she is lovely! It's good that you have so many lovely photographic memories of her. Seeing them has made me cry, fool that I am, but she's just such a darling little girl - well, suffice it to say that it brings back some bittersweet memories of the dog I've just lost. Cleo looks treasured!

Thank you for the photographs - they are beautiful.

@ehBeth,
Slight tears there.....

Beth, actually you are in one photo, the one Set put up.... Chloe is staring at you as you are taking the photo whilst Bailey is looking at Set...

And, like, oops I am on mums side of the bed Wink 2nd photo with you, just a different take that's all.

Assuming you took the photo and I am confident that you did Smile

She looks like "frig it's snow, am I ok, yes i am Dad's here" and then Bailey snuggling.

Just too beautiful for words....

@FOUND SOUL,
You're right Foundie Girl, I am in Cleo's expressions in the photos. She was a hard dog to to take a photo of as she'd try to get up close and personal if she realized you were there with a camera - there were a lot of photos of her nostrils in the early days Shocked Laughing

Bailey's more of a natural poser. He'll get on a pile of rocks, turn to make sure I'm watching and then stack up for a photo op.
