If Adam and Eve were created perfect, how could they sin?

Well, Ibelieve there is a God, so yes.

You are saying that what you "believe"...in other words "what you guess to be so"...is what you KNOW.

Okay.

I think that to be absurd...but you are entitled to suppose that you KNOW anything you "believe." I respectfully suggest that you do so at the expense of being truthful with yourself, Neo. You are lying to yourself.

I am aware of the epistemological shortcomings of beliefs based on anecdotal and circumstantial evidence. Yet I hold to them as fact.

I am willing to present the anecdotal and circumstantial evidence, knowing I may be laughed off the board. In fact I have done so many times. Perhaps people keep reading my posts because they hope I may convince them.

And perhaps you keep writing them because you hope to convince yourself.

I don't know which it is...but I could make a guess...and I could even present my guess by using the words, "...and I believe (a) or (b) is correct"...but I would never that because I made that guess, that I KNEW the answer.

You, apparenlty, are not bothered by considering your guesses to be knowledge. That is something people must keep in mind when discussing issues with you.

I was just getting ready to put on coffee. I guess it will taste fine. . . Can't prove that to you , though

Exactly. It doesn't matter if it tastes fine or not. Before you taste it...the only thing you can do is to guess.

You seem unwilling to accept that as a limit.

Too bad for you.

You did not KNOW it was going to be good. You guessed it. You guessed correctly. You could have guessed incorrectly.

But apparently you do not have the strength of character to simply acknowledge the difference between what you KNOW and what you guess.

Embarrassed Drat! you've perceived my coffee addiction and my tendency to drink the damnable stuff, no matter what. But I will not hold back from a truthful assessment.

Today's was good because I made it. Were it not so good, I have the freedom of will to have poured it out.

I get my morning coffee at McDonalds for .64c, and it's very good quality - better than Starbucks.

When I go to McD's I generally go for the $1 coffee. I need it to get my heart started.

I'm not a big fan of coffee at all. When I go to Starbucks or McDonalds or Dunkin Donuts...I go to look at the great ladies who always seem to hang out there.

And the muffins, of course.

@neologist,
Bible has an example for ALL OPINIONS people can come up with . It doesn`t matter what you believe is true, people live and create their own lives whether it`s a happy one or not (very subjective topic). Or god sits up there and punishes sinners when the same bible says "God is Love". If you are the one who think I am a sinner by saying these words, I`m sure you`ll find a piece in a bible saying that you are right. The bottom line is, people were doing in a past, keep doing right now and will be doing horrific things "in the name of god". Not even once will stop to think what kind of person his own actions make him. Some very smart (and I`m sure, very rich one) decided that it would be cool if he`d be able to control the humanity. He came up with a plan knowing that human nature is being an obedient citizen (a.t.a. christian), and it worked! People around the world getting involve in this gigantic machine that will make everybody the same, brainless. Do we really want to be sheep?

@Voice,
Welcome to the forum, Voice. You will have fun here, I'm sure.
BTW, How smart was that person who came up with the plan you speak of?

neo, Did you get a satisfactory answer for your question?

Don't wait for it, because there is none. It's all B.S. - the whole bible.

You must judge the book, not by its cover, but by its content. There are just too many contradictions, errors, omissions, and miracles for it to be real.

Jeez...does that mean there really never was an Egypt...and that there never were any Pharaohs...and that there never was a Rome ruled by an emperor?

(Not actually a question for ci, who has taken his ball and gone home as far as I am concerned. It is just a remark some of the others here might consider.)

You didn't read View's post. He apparently thinks the Bible is BS as well. I was asking him to comment on the intelligence of that smart person who thought it all up. Since he gives credit to only one, as far as I can see.
