Lola at the Coffee House

@vonny,
No idea why I stir it. Maybe it has something to do with keeping the temperature of the coffee uniform throughout the cup. That's one possibility. Another is that I remove nervous energy from myself. Yet another would be that I do it to irritate others...which serves them right if they keep staring at me!

@Sturgis,
Why do people stare? And then, if you catch their eye, smile at you? What are you supposed to do - smile in return? What if they take your smile as an invitation to come and sit with you - strewth, not worth all the hassle, I think I'll have my next cup of coffee in the privacy of my own home!!! @vonny,
You never people-watch before? It can be a fascinating spectator sport. The smiling comes into play when an embarrassed player wants to show he or she means no harm.

Try not to read too much into these ephemeral interactions.

@tsarstepan,
People watching can be interesting - smiling can be pleasant - but why do they always have to follow it up with trying to get to know you? Rolling Eyes

I personally can't answer that question. As it literally hasn't ever happened to me. Sad

I see Lola's is keeping up with the times!

but still uses some older forms of communication.

@tsarstepan,
Okay, it's a mildly annoying and unnecessarily jarring ad campaign. But I feel that since that Stumptown makes my favorite coffee, they deserve the attention:

@tsarstepan,
Well, if Lola's is open, then I'll certainly be first in the queue for a coffee - ages since I last had one.

I like Dunkin Donuts coffee. Black, no cream. But in a pinch I can drink it made with dishwater. I was in town early the other day and bought some DD coffee with a cinnamon roll. Excellent.

Lola steps tentatively on the top step from her room above the coffee house. She's no good without her morning coffee. Wassau (wa-zo) is busy in the kitchen preparing the day's goodies.
"Hey, Wassau, I need a coffee on the table beside the couch. Nothing like a warm fire in the fireplace and a big cup of coffee shared with friends, new and old."
Snuggling in, Lola asks for the paper. And Wassau obliges.

Lola: Wassau, come over here and let's talk. I got so mad about the election that I ran away to the cave in the wilderness for a while.
Wassau: About time you showed up. The place has been empty for years.
Lola: I know. But can you find out how I can find my old legs avatar? And if found, how would I make it appear?
