@tsarstepan,
How's the big clean-up and refurbishment going? Be great to see a few of the regulars back here again - sigh, it used to be such a lively place - somewhere to let one's hair down and relax with friends ...

@vonny,
That's a funny video.Laughing

I started my Lounge thread because activity over here had really died out, and I felt we needed another place to hang out. And if this thread is going to need all those bumps to start a new page, I definitely suggest we all move over there.

@tsarstepan,
What is Lola's Coffee House cafe policy on accidental spiked coffee?

Not that there's anything wrong with spiked coffee. Wink

@vonny,
Anyone been to Italy lately? Alas, not me. I don't remember any barista there, late 90's, doing the artistic milk additions.. I usually either had a caffe latte or a espresso, maybe a macchiato, and wasn't particularly watching what went on with cappuccini. Have they adapted to this mode, or did they always do that and I missed it, or do they still not do it? I think of it as a Starbucks thing, but then I don't go there much. Looks generalized in the Big Apple.

@ossobuco,
Even the cafeteria in our local supermarket does the artistic milk additions - seems to be pretty popular nowadays.

@vonny,
I find no reason for the artistic stuff on top. I want the coffee and that's all I want it to be. Of course since my coffee is 99% of the time taken black, it would probably be unwise and maybe unsanitary if any decorating appeared.

Besides which, once you start to drink the beverage, the design disappears.

Besides which2, I always stir the coffee before doing anything else. Not sure why, I just do.

Lastly, I haven't been to Italy recently, in truth I haven't been to Italy ever...unless Little Italy counts.

@Sturgis,
I rarely drink coffee nowadays, but I'm not totally averse to the idea of a design. I'll have to try some and see how long the pattern lasts before it starts to sink into oblivion - or would it?

Why do you stir your coffee before you do anything else?
