we're having gargantuan tornadoes here today. I'm ok, so far. Tomorrow is supposed to be worse for us.

Lola, where do you live? Try to stay safe wherever you are.

I'm just watching the news reports of the devastation in Oklahoma. It's horrible, so much destruction and death. It's staggering just looking at it.

@FOUND SOUL,
I'm in Dallas, so well away today from the Moore Oklahoma storm. But tomorrow is another tornado day and this time Dallas will be right in the middle predicted storm area. I'll be watching the weather all day and if a tornado comes my way, hopefully I'll take the best course of action. I heard this evening that East Dallas and East of Dallas are less likely to be affected and East is where I am and will be. In the evening, I'll be in North Dallas, which is rarely affected by tornadoes so I think I'll be safe. I'll keep you all informed.

In the meantime, the party was lovely and again, happy birthday to vonny.

@Lola,

Gee whillikins that's some problem with storms and everything.

I think we've mucked about with the planet too much and there's a downside to all of this.

Is coffee on, or is there a power outage?

@Lola,
Frightening that you are in an area that might be affected by the tornados that are hitting the States. Take care - hope you come to no harm.

@Lola,
Some people here and on facebook, know that I have adopted daughters and 1 son, well they adopted me years ago.. Birthday cards, phone calls, gifts and visa versa anyways. My daughter is in Oklahoma and I only just learnt about all of this "after "I posted that to you.. She is safe, apparently, around 2hrs now from there in a bunker somewhere can't get hold of her.

But if she can get out of there, and it comes near you, you get out of there Smile

Hate that I can't call her or text her...

At least you have heads up as she did, be safe...

VONNY keep PARTYING WHY THE ---------- NOT Smile

Thank you. Camembert, my favourite... Though I love Danish feta but on salads...

Love the bright new cushions as well, feel like there might be a belly dance show a bit later?

I heard a report on NPR the other day about how "imitation" fried calamari is actually (get ready for this) pig rectum. I haven't eaten calamari since.........and I may never again.

I'm a little late on this, been dodging tornados - bigg'ns. One went over my house before dropping about 2-3 miles east - the other, areally really big'n was only about 6 miles north-wow I ran home with it coming in on me from the west......

Anyways, this food thing just means bologna is just gonna be that much worserer. Guess I'll just have to settle for lips, feet and lungs for here on out. The good stuff has turned upper crust and won't talk to us anymore - wait, what's that - do I hear a freight train, hide!

Ohhh, I'm getting just too, too jumpy - it was just my squid apppetizer farting at me..........

@BillW,
Be well, kiddo.

From my not very large acquaintance, squid and octopus vary as comestibles.
The times I've eaten squid at neato places, it was not rubber bands. Probably similar to abalone, it takes a deft touch to do well.
One of the few times I ate octopus was at a tapas type place in the Santa Rosa area, name I now forget but would recognize, they've opened two other places highly regarded (and I watch); the octopus completely delectable. I was a moderate mess that day, going before an examiner board on our group proposed project, and what was I doing eating before hand, while just trying to breathe. (We all did ok and I have good octopus memories to boot).

I have run across squid rubber bands, but they were nothin' to the jellyfish at our wedding dinner. Only four of us ended up at the restaurant we all loved, the Twin Dragon, and where our friend, a chinese food maven extraordinaire, ordered all sorts of stuff. Only dish there that I ever tried and didn't like. But hey.

@BillW,
This is an establishment for ladies Bill. Have you not noticed that men are drifting away.

That's the general idea. It's a microcosm of what's on the way at the macro level.
