Good afternoon from slightly chilly New Mexico. Tomorrow it will warm up again. We've had a little rain, which means the weeds will show their faces to the sky.

I've been cooking, something I do a lot of when I get my check in the mail, stuff to freeze for later. Next up, homemade mayonnaise, though that's not a freeze item. Then, time to do some paperwork, make some phone calls. I always try to put that off until I'm fully awake, which is daily around 4 pm, no matter when I rise, these days around 6 a.m.

For now, a glass of red and a look at baseball news.
