It isn't very nice to remind listeners of their inferiority to your goodself because they are unable to gush at the prospect of perusing the latest science news and especially when there is no evidence that perusing the latest science news is not being pursued for perusing the latest science news' sake. The science being irrelevant.

Spoken by the one who attempts to shoehorn the name of Thorsten Veblen into almost every one of his posts. Its as if the mere mention f a name such as Veblen will ascend you to the higher ranks of the c'gnisenti.

Perhaps, before you lecture about the moat in my eye, you should be awawer of the beams in yours. Ah yes, Its time for you to be nicely toasted and full of ypour daily draught of creativity. Someone did say that, when your tanks were sufficiently "topped up" you could write your name in yellow upon the newfallen snow.

The creative part would be if you could do it in sans serif script.

Winter storm warning here.

I hope I can get to the coffee house before we're snowed in.

@ehBeth,
We are expecting severe weather tomorrow night - it is 80 degrees here today. The cold front moving through is going to give us our typical scary April weather. I gotta clean our "safe place" out again. I always manage to fill it with stuff. pooh

@farmerman,
Remind me -- what's 'snow' again? My short-tern memory's getting worse and worse.

@farmerman,
It was beautifully warm here today ... after a wicked wicked thunder storm last night. Now the temps are dropping ... steadily.

@ehBeth,
Sitting by the fire, with a coffee at the Coffee House, listening to thunder and seeing lightening ....(adds a little rum)

YES! Can we do this tonight, all gather off course if you are faint hearted at listening to thunder, I think Lola will understand if your seat is vacant.

I think creativity is essentially play,

Which rather undermines fm's point that I should be more creative. That I should be more playful. I need coaching in how to play. I have reservations about coaches. I have heard that they give a young man a sore rectum.

It is much more playful imo to **** all over the latest science news rather than prostrating oneself before its long words and funny squiggles on graph paper in order to impress one's fellow man with one's personal excellence.

Give us some "latest science news" fm? Hot off the press ****. And keep your hands still. Facts need no emphatic gestures.

Show me how to be creative. Setanta is good at paralipsis eh?

When are these guys going to risk a figure of speech. They are playfulness. Jane Austen's extended litotes is one of the wonders of literature.

@farmerman,
I am near Birmingham, AL.

We are coated in pollen and it actually feels like summer. It was just last week I was freezing. Hard to believe.

Beth - we have a radio that has batteries. Smile And a lantern. We never have to stay long - hopefully it will be the same.

Thank you Osso. The problem is always finding a place for it - it is all of my furniture to refinish. I keep getting it from folks getting rid of stuff and it keeps stacking up. I am hoping when school is out I can get them done and sold so they will no longer be underfoot. Smile

Not at all. I'm simply trying to give Americans what their teachers stole from them.

I worked off that urge whilst still in short pants although I will admit that if there was a suitable snowdrift available, as there often was before global warming, I could be persuaded to take a trip down memory lane.

Have you ever tried a young lady writing her own name with your pen. They can't do with their own.

I'm always interested when you talk about the refinishing.

Oh, wait, I have some stuff for you.

I wish I could pick it up for you. Smile

I have some really great pieces that are Early American. Not real pretty or interesting right now...but I have some slate grey chalk paint that is going to make them really nice. I have a rattan piece that I am painting a birds egg blue with white over it...I will sand it down so you can see the colors in the worn places and wax it. It will sell very well for the folks around here that have beach houses. I just need time. Summer should give it to me. I say should - the boys will probably have All Stars through June. So maybe July. Wink Free time is always a crap shoot around this house.
