How to treat lack of education on a resume?

Odd, I thought I'd gotten more bumptious since moving stateside...

Today I had a senior moment, I realized this whole year I've been saying the wrong age.

Me: "Yeah, I'm 24 so my auto insurance will be high."
Co-worker: "I thought you were 22?"
Me: "Am I?" <thinks> "Actually I'm 23, I turn 24 this year."

Craven--

The Gray Panthers on A2K have probably spent as much time with you over the years as a teacher who would have had you for a single high school course.

Since coming stateside you've been more self-confident. Bumptiousness is only a pretense at having poise.

dlowan, in North America, c.v's are traditionally used by educators and academics - their focus is on courses, academic credentials and, most importantly, publications. Teachers will often tell their students to prepare c.v's, but a resume is what they're after. It's a different format, and a different target. (trying not to get to warmed up to the topic. when i'm with my peers in this area, we can talk faaaaaaaar too much about the lovely fine points about different approaches to c.v's and to resumes)

Here's a general guideline on resume 101. Emphasize the section that best presents you to the person doing the hiring.

Craven...I don't know what kind of job you may be looking at, but I can't imagine anyone being better qualified at computer geekdom than you are. You've made the mechanics of A2K work well.

More importantly, you have made A2K work by establishing the goal of "civil discussion." You implemented that through the "moderator" system.
Except for the lack of revenue, A2K is an awesome display of your creative and organizational skills.

I think you should show this site to any potential employer. We will certainly give you a good recommendation (we'll have to sedate Slappy, though).

Hmmmm - so what is a resume?

My CV is pages and pages long - with education and its relevance to particular job - including all relevant post-grad clinical training; all relevant job experience - slanted towards particular job. Some folk include quite a lot of personal info - I don't.

Then, there is an horrendous thing called "addressing the job and person specification" - which copies the essential and desirable skills/characteristics, then illustrates specific examples of how I meet them.

'Orrid.

Covering letter - traditionally pretty short.

Makes me tired thinking about it.

Just saw this - more than happy to take a look at CDK's resume, and also run it past my friend in HR to see what she thinks.

Yup that's a CV all right.
A resume is a very short form, one or two page list of highlights, strongest education, career points ect.

Technically yes, but I'm not putting the sexual favors on my resumé. Can't let those worlds collide.

I ended up being really busy today. I'll send the resume to the interested parties tomorrow.

You know, I KNEW something bothered me about this!

You told me EVERYONE had to give you sexual favours in order to maintain membership - you told me Slappy opened up lots of accounts, even, just in order to have to give more....I even wondered how you managed with so many thousands of members...but you know, I am not altogether sure you were telling the whole truth here...I think I was tricked.....
