Not sure what you have been reading

Frank Apisa's fundamentally dishonest posts.

Quote:
The USA has done many, many deplorable things...just as EVERY leading nation has done deplorable things. It goes with the territory. There are things we have done which are reprehensible...for which there are no adequate excuses. And I have NEVER suggested otherwise.

This is a whitewash, Frank. It's all doubletalk. And you've learned your deception well.

You never provide the actual facts. Your attempts at honesty are fatuous in the extreme. What's wrong with providing facts which illustrate just how badly deceived y'all really are.

Quote:
The U.S. Government spent nearly 17 million dollars every single day to bomb Laos. What it has spent to clean it up, is, as of yet, a pittance (2.7 million a year) and the State Department has reduced this amount even further for 2011. Over 280 million bombs were dropped on Laos. It’s estimated that up to 80 million of them never exploded.
[/quote

Consider all the propaganda that went on around the time of The Killing Fields. All this complete propaganda meant to make the US out to be some heroic country when it was the US government that caused the PolPot/Khmer Rouge genocide that took place in Cambodia.

It was the US government, people YOU voted for, Frank, that was guilty not of "deplorable" things but of crimes against humanity - vicious, cold, calculated crimes against humanity.

Like I said...unless a person acts bat-**** crazy...you consider it to be a white-wash.

No problemo. Keep the act going. It is very entertaining.

Facts, to you, Frank, constitute bat **** crazy. Point out the part that you think is bat **** crazy. By the way, that's hyperbole, Frank.

Here's a couple more threads where you can whitewash to your heart's content.

Nope. To me facts are facts.

And you have plenty of facts that you share...just as many of the others here (including myself) share facts.

But you are suggesting that I white-wash something or other.

I don't.

I suspect the reason you think I am white-washing...is because I refuse to go overboard like you do so often. I refuse to get bat-**** crazy.

Actually, JTT...I never said that you were bat-**** crazy or that anything you said was bat-**** crazy. I merely said that I think you feel that unless someone (else) goes bat-**** crazy, they are whitewashing.

I may be wrong about that, there may be some other bizarre reason for you supposing I, or anyone else, is "whitewashing" things.

By the way...concerning your signature line: “The crimes of the U.S. throughout the world have been systematic, constant, clinical, remorseless, and fully documented but nobody talks about them.” ― Harold Pinter

If you Google “USA crimes against humanity”…you get over 9 million hits. Pinter, and you, must have missed all that. It does get talked about a lot…by lots of people. Pinter is dead wrong; the comment is a joke of hyperbole…but that doesn’t mean you cannot use it as a signature line.

In fact, it might be appropriate.

That's a whitewash, Frank. You are being patently dishonest because you feel that you've trapped yourself.

No, you point it out, Frank. That may go some way towards convincing you that you are either senile or a damn poor propagandist - who nevertheless, tries his best.

Interesting way of saying, "I can't, Frank, because you never did say that."

JTT...I can only hope that this is NOT your best.

no, it would not be even remotely moral for the Palestinians to nuke Israel. Keep in mind that the Palestinians are the aggressors in this war. All Israel is doing is defending themselves.

I do understand your subjective opinion and many people think like you do but does it matter that the Palestinians have a subjective opinion as well?

Tell me something don't you think that the other side most often also sees themselves to be on the moral high ground?

I did not state subjective opinions. I stated objective facts.

Prosecution for war crimes have to be aimed much higher, at the presidential level on down.

A just prosecution focuses only on the people who committed the crime.

Hardly beastly to try to stop the Communists from overrunning a small democracy.

Hardly lies.

And the North Vietnamese were doing something quite substantial to their neighbor to the south.

If they didn't want trouble from us, they could have just stopped attacking South Vietnam.

Very unlikely.

They did nothing wrong.

I'm not aware of any war crimes by a US president in the past 100 years.

A huge lie. Why did the US participate in the assassination of the dictator, Ngo Dinh Diem(qm)

Well, you may not have been able to express yourself clearly, JTT, but I sincerely hope it is not dementia. I think you just have trouble acknowledging when you are wrong. That clearly is a psychological problem...not a physical one.

I have indeed. And if I am correct about your problem being psychological rather than physical, I am sure you will also. I'll be hoping for you.

The presidents from Eisenhour through Nixon are guilty of war crimes in Nam.

GWB is guilty of war crimes in connection with lying us into a war with Iraq.

Has it gotten a little hot for you all of a sudden, Gob1? I wonder why that would be.

Who wants to bet that there's less than a snowball's chance in hell that Gob1 will want to discuss this any further?
