Roberta: Our next meet-up will be in some place quieter than French Roast or even the Pig Heaven so we can tawk.

@Joe Nation,
I would like that. I like to tawk--and to listen. Listening is sometimes the best part.

@Roberta,
How about we go to your apartment where you can cook a 8 to 10 course dinner Roberta? It's quiet there, right?

@tsarstepan,
My apartment is not fit for company. Hey, it's not even fit for me, but I have nowhere else to go.

Also not all that quiet. It depends on the time of the day.

@Mame,
I can host maybe two or three other people at best. Razz And the more booze and food you promise to bring, the better chance it'll be you that will get the chance to be invited to my flat.

@Mame,
I'll cook something but I can't promise it'll have much flavor (seasoned right). It'd be edible. I'd also provide wine and dessert as well. I'm a sweet tooth and thusly so will be my guests. Razz

If you'll come in the Spring or Summer, we can all meet up on my roofdeck.

Worse (farther away from the Upper Eastside then Queens). I've been living in Brooklyn since August. When the time comes, I'll send to you the appropriate transportation:

@tsarstepan,
New digs. Good. Brooklyn! Oy. You might as well be in Australia.

I like the transportation. A little Cinderella-y, but not bad.

@Joe Nation,
I'm already planning my next trip to NY. My daughter wants to go and two friends of mine want to go, so... I'll be coming back one way or the other. Janice was talking May being a better month, weather-wise, or June even, before school gets out. Doesn't matter to me what the weather's like as I'm from Rainy Vancouver.

NY reminded me a lot of Vancouver, but I like it for other reasons (okay, mainly the art, the honking, so many taxis). You can get fantastic food in Vcr, as well, but different stuff. I wanted to eat NY food...

Roberta, was it you that said you took a month off to sight-see in NY and it wasn't long enough? I concur - which means I'll have to go several (many) times. I Love NY! And the people there. So nice. So friendly and helpful. So generous. Love 'em!
