Obama, based on all of the Electoral College-based models.

And here's a gut prediction... Gary Johnson and Jill Stein will combine for 10-12% of the vote.

On the contrary, they'll combine for less than 5% of the vote.

@DrewDad,
Here's where the various polling models have the electoral college with 270 needed to win:

fivethirtyeight.com - O: 295 to 243
electionprojection.com (conservative) - 290 to 248 (with Romney winning the general vote)
huffingtonpost.com (liberal) - 259 to 206 with four states in play (including Ohio and Florida)
electoral-vote.com (liberal) - 280 - 235 with two states in play

Most sites are calling Ohio for Obama and Florida for Romney based on consistent polling from the states.

@sozobe,
Obama. My ex called me today and told me he's not worried. He's got a pretty fair political nose.

Me, I worry. I agree with whoever said if you will be in a fema line, be sure to get in a voting line too. I'm glad to hear fema has sharpened up. Despite my worrywart mien on his behalf, Obama will win.

@joefromchicago,
I hope Jill Stein subtracts somehow from Gary (I considered both of them, still like J. Stein, will vote Obama).
Will be interested to see if JPB or jfc turns out to be closer.

My prediction: Obama wins every state that he won in 2004 except for Indiana and North Carolina.

I see you kept it safe and didn't want to go out on a limb and use the 2000 election as your starting point.

I have the Electoral College at 303 Obama vs 235 Romney. That includes Virginia's 13 EV going to Obama. The Dem Senate candidate is up by about 5 and Virgil Goode, an independent candidate for President from SW Va, could siphon votes from Romney in coal country.
VA: 50.0 for Obama; 48.5 for Romney and 1.5 for Other.
NC (15 EV's) and FL (29) are 2 states I've given to Romney for now.

@jcboy,
Here's the link to his comments:
Quote:
"The federal government response has been great. I was on
the phone at midnight again last night with the president
personally," he told NBC's "Today" program.

"The president has been outstanding in this. The folks at
FEMA ... have been excellent," said Christie, once thought to be
a contender for the White House or possibly Romney's vice
presidential pick.

Christie's praise came a week before the presidential
election, with polls showing the race as a dead heat.

"I don't give a damn about Election Day. It doesn't matter a
lick to me at the moment," Christie later told reporters in a
press conference about the storm damage. "I've got bigger fish
to fry."

I read somewhere that Romney called the Republican governors in the storm's path but the Democratic governors hadn't heard from him.

@joefromchicago,
FL? I don't think he carries FL. Maybe VA and CO (along with IA, OH, and NH) but he's going to have to push to get FL.
