You probably need to reset the printer. To do so, open and close the printer lid. If that doesn't clear it, open lid, remove ink cartridge and reinstall cartridge, then close lid.
If it still doesn't work, try unplugging the printer, waiting 10 seconds and then plug it back in.
You probably also need to clear the print queue. I need further details as to what operating system you are using.
In general, you need to go to Control Panel, Printer Settings, and remove any print jobs that are "stuck" in the queue.
