My other kitty died last night

While he was sleeping. He has been "sick" - wel more likely just old age. He was acting like my other kitty before she died. My hubby was going to take him to the vet yesterday, but hubby wasn't feeling well.

Last night, my daughter tried to hold him and cuddle him - he was just meowing loudly so she laid him down on the couch. She told me that this morning and then said he hasn't moved since. I looked at him and could just tell - and touched him to confirm.

Poor baby.

thanks all - I knew over the past week as he was weakening, eating less to not eating only drinking. We simply waited to bring to the vet because just after going through it with our kitty all they could do was put her to sleep.

Yeah he is now playing with his pal Lily who died not too long ago.

And in the past week - I can't tell you how many times I called him Lily. I think it just so reminded me of her when she got sick like him.

I'm sorry Linkat, I am dreading that day myself with little Miss.. She's 16 and a half now, but a Pomeranian.

Can I say one thing? ... Had your husband felt well enough, and took your Kitty to the Vet, they would have put him to sleep. Knowing that he? Curled up on your lounge in his home and "fell asleep", to me made me smile...if that makes sense.

Remember, its not "death"; its not the end of conscious life.
Its only molting, like when u have an out-of-body experience.
