@Linkat,
Very sad, I know the feeling. Hugs!

I still think about those two cats everyday!

@Linkat,
Sorry to hear such sad news, Linkat. My sympathies to you and your family.
It's the toughest part of loving a pet.

@Linkat,
Dang.

It never gets any easier does it? Even when it's all peaceful it still sucks. Even when you get older and you know what you've gotten yourself into it still sucks.

But we still get pets because that's just who we are.

Hoping for an easier night for all of you....

@Linkat,
I'm really sorry, Linkat. But I know you gave him a great life, and that's what matters most.

Post a picture if you feel like it. We'd love to see him.

I agree with Boomerang - even after you're old enough to know a little about loss, the loss of a little furry friend doesn't hurt any less. Sorry about this, Linkat. I can only say I know a little about how you feel.

So very sorry to hear of this, Linkey.

It's a good thing that cats don't know cats die. No matter how sick, they seem to accept it as normal, and just live in the moment.

@roger,
Maybe they do know, Roger, and maybe sickness and death are normal to them.

(Maybe we're the ones that have the wrong outlook.)

@Eva,
yeah, when lulu was failing, I'd find myself singing sometimes "lulu don't fear the reaper...."

she didn't.

@FOUND SOUL,
Yeah - I think that is why we were putting off for a week. We could tell the signs from our other kitty.

@Linkat,
Sad to hear of the loss of your beloved pet. My Sheba's gone over 20 years and I still miss her.
All we can do is give them a great life and loads of love and when they pass, always remember them.

@Linkat,
Sorry to hear that. It's hard at first when you have a pet that's been in your life everyday for so many years. You seem like a good person, so I'm sure he died very happy and peaceful.

thank you - we still have our bratty little doggie that keeps us busy and on our toes.
