Welcome back, c.i., we'll be looking forward to your pictures. Are you sure Mrs. c.i. can't come? I'd love to hear her thoughts and feelings at seeing her ancestral home and symbols.

Dys and I are driving and plan to arrive at the King George around 1:00PM. Like the PD's, we hope our room will be ready, but most likely it won't, so we'll do a little looking and have some lunch until we can get to the room. I think we might be ready for a little nap before meeting for dinner.

Semiotterly, our friend from New York would like to meet us on Sunday. I told her that we might be meeting at the Tea Garden in GG Park Sunday afternoon, possibly for lunch. Would anyone else be up for that?

PDiddie, Solea for dinner on Saturday sounds like perfection. A room to ourselves is all we could ask for. I hope they don't close too early!!

OK, one more day before Dys and I get on the road. How do I lose 15 pounds by then?????

I wish now I was arriving on Thursday afternoon, maybe a lesson for other group meets. It leaves some time to acclimate to a great city. Read the paper. Even check out the newspaper place on Market that sells, I gather, international papers and very serious chocolate. Sorry, no link.

osso, I can meet you at your hotel, but the meet starts at 4PM at the KG. Can you be ready before 5? I've just downloaded all my digital pictures onto my computer, but much work still ahead before I can select and organize a small number of them to share. Will do that on Wednesday. If anybody wishes to see any of my vacation photo albums of specific places, I'd be more than happy to bring a couple (out of almost 40). I think we'll have some 'quiet' time. Wink
Lola, I'll be in SF on Thursday evening, because I'm staying over at my brother-in-laws. I'll be open to any request you might have.

4pm? Somehow I doubt that. I read it as 6 pm, has it changed?

You can't lose fifteen pound by then and don't worry about it, Diane, I'll dwarf you and you'll look very delicate.

Or maybe we can both give fifteen pounds to Dys.. the new chubbychops.

Uh, Solea's on Sunday.

I think.

Hi all,

jjorge checking in. I arrived Sat. night in San Diego and have been out traipsing about hither and yon with my friends from Oceanside. This pm I took the coastal train to Santa Ana and am spending the night with my brother and his family in Huntington Beach (not the San Francisco brother, I'll see him Wed. pm.)

I look forward to seeing you all Friday pm. If anyone needs to reach me before then both Blatham and c.i. have my cell phone number.

hasta Pronto!

Huntington Beach, I got a speeding ticket in my VW there. (going 68 in a 65 mph zone, followed by, "Volkswagens shouldn't go that fast!")

JJorge, have a wonderful ride up the coast, it will be a beautiful time to do it. This is by train too?

Ah, you're right CI. I swear it was different last time I looked, but maybe not. In any case, I am apt to be there more around six than four.

After some of you take a peek, I'm gonna remove it, because it's too big.
We stayed one nite at this temple ryokan where we were served by buddhist monks. We slept on tatami floors with a heater under a low table where the four of us set our bedding so our feet was under the table. It was c-o-l-d. burrrr....

Beautiful picture c.i. Do urge your wife to attend. Mrs. c.i. is still a mystery woman I would love to meet and I'm sure the others would as well.

Has anyone heard from Georgeob?

It's good to hear from you, jjorge, with a happy report on working your way up the coast.

McTag, it's not too late to come to SF and join the group. What about it?

4 p.m. is just a suggestion, BTW.

Since some of us will be there that early, I opened the window some.

Don't feel obligated to be there at the stroke of four, anyone...
