no Dys, wear them please.
Well Piperade is my preference. They have an "interesting" wine list, first of all and it has only 2 bells and 2 $$ but is a three star restaurant, if I recall. Goody, I get what I want.........for once. I'm so mistreated.
However, I do not take responsibility for the quality of the restaurant experience. I don't know nuttin about it.
Still haven't found a map that shows all this, Battery and Sansome With Union and Green Street, on line. But according to my sfaccess book, it's six blocks north of Clay Street, which I think shows on at least one of these. I liked all these maps/sites..

edit, oops, wrong again, Union Street does show up on the first link anyway.
Dys!!!!!!
My eye's zero'd in on Scomas, but really, look at all these places....

still have to check if that is still crab season..
OK, Lola, it'll be all my fault. I'll take it on.
Hey, Crab season doesn't end until June 30th, this is great news..
My new home town has fresh crabs, very fresh, all over the place, on piers, in markets, in little shacks by the water.. but I hadn't memorized when it, uh, peters out.

OK, Osso, you're right. If it's bad, I can take the blame too. After all, I DO love to be blamed.
Osso, Piperade sounds heavenly. Should we spend the night and have breakfast there as well? My gosh, Nutella.........stop me, please!
Taking a taxi makes the most sense, if everyone else agrees.
Diane, you need to save yourself for Teuscher...

I think.
Lola, we can do The Blamed together..
When Diane and I walked New York, in our way, we stopped at the Plaza because it looked neat, found the candy store, and I bought one chocolate and she two, or I two, and she three. But I left my umbrella..
anyway, to Teuscher's - my only personal connection to Teuscher's was when our buddy and my ex went over to the main part of Beverly Hills (from which I am not from, heh) after dinner. I stayed and snoozed in the den, since our dinners with this friend took hourssssss, and it was after an exhausting work day. They came bounding back in the door with a treat for me, some Teuscher's chocolates, and I waved them away (oh, yes, another mistake) and then tried one to be nice while I was asleep.. So it is Me that wants to try one.

Hope you can make it ehBeth!
You will notice I post links from some high end places.
San Francisco is both sophisticated and provincial in that sophistication and has layers and layers of real culture.
One needs to visit more than once...
and I don't mean to push anyone to only seeing the sparkles.

P.S. Piperade looks great
Domani, you guys need to look at the crab link...
bethie....it would be lovely if you could make it too.
Bethie, keeping my fingers crossed.
Jo, the Teuscher sounds multiple orgasm good. If they just sell individual pieces, I'll creep in on little cat feet, hoping not to lose all control and gobble up as much as I can hold in hand and mouth.
Promise to yank me out of there if I start behaving badly. I have to keep reminding myself that I have diabetes. Damn!
Diane, they do sell individual pieces. And one probably costs a treasure chest.
We're not talking any "treasure chest." It's gotta be filled with real valuables like gold, diamond, rubines.......
real treasure? Hummmm.........
