How Long Have You Been On A2K?

You give me too much credit there - Lightwizard was a very early member once it was a2k and then he nagged me to join (we emailed a bunch back then) and I think you sent me messages too. Ms. Oblivious waited a bit, so my join date was Oct. 28, 2002. Several others joined around then - I think Fbaezer was one of them. Walter beat me to the site by ten days. Criminy, I've 78,000 posts. I post pretty consistently, hell or high water, unless something else is going on, an engrossing book, miscellaneous household travails, or, as in the last day or two, a total engagement with trying to set up my Fantasy Baseball draft list.

Not sure when I joined abuzz - either late 2000 or early 2001. Got locked out of it for some reason I was way too thick headed to understand, having to do with cookies; people kept telling me and I couldn't seem to fix that. There was therefore a hiatus then during an icky time, a few months around Sept. 11. Got back into abuzz for a while and then gave up on the mess it became.
I joined Raven's Realm, but never figured it out (doh!)

BTW, been a a2k member since October 22, 2002. Posted over 76,000 "junk" over the years. Learned a bunch on a2k, as well as being "entertained" for this many years - for free. Keeps my grey matter on active duty.

I think many of us struggled on Abuzz for awhile even after joining a2k. But, like Frank said, it went to pots after the NYT just dropped the ball.

Bethie snuck in before me, too.

I have learned much from others and in the process learned lots about myself. It's a win win situation.

Yes! I'm learning lots about myself, humanity and many cultural aspects of this culture and others.

I joined A2K on September, 2005 and usually post daily.

as I recall, you were having some trouble getting the roger handle to stick. my first dozen or so posts after the launch were "hello?" and "roger, is that you?"

That doesn't exactly sound unfamiliar. Somehow, I have the feeling that I was roger from the beginning, but not everyone knew about it. It now seems that Roger is out of the question.
