I was wondering whether it is a sin to stimulate the opposite sex? So do everything but sex.

@wallaby,
Sexual activity outside of marriage is a sin. God's Word goes so far as to say that to even lust after a woman is the same as committing adultery/fornication. So yes, masterbating each other would be considered sin.

Of course, why take my word for it. I'm sure you could ask your minister. I'm assuming you regularly attend church and consider yourself a christian, otherwise asking the question seems a bit pointless since the idea of sin is somewhat meaningless to anyone who does not believe in God.

But if everyone involved in the discussion consistently misspells masturbation, is it still a sin?

@wallaby,
You are stimulating me just by posting this thread. I hope you are not a man.

@Setanta,
Setanta, it was a sin for you to spell it correctly.

@wallaby,
Let's be clear here. Are we talking electrical or manual stimulation?.
Either way don't worry Pilgrim.

For self stimulation, say three Hail Mary's and two our Father's.

For stimulation of the opposite sex, say five Hail Mary's, three Our Father's and light a candle to Mary Magdalen.

For stimulation of the same sex, prepare thy ass for a roasting. (win win) Laughing

@Setanta,
Yeah, I noticed that in the original post and then did the same thing. But then, clowns aren't supposed to know how to spell. So see, I have an excuse.

Of course, I could claim he was into a little BDSM and this had something to do with him bating his Master, whatever that might be. Thus maybe he meant to spell it masterbating.

Manual stimulation is a labour of love.

@izzythepush,
I have sympathy for the questioner, it would be hard to believe how little I knew at, say, fifteen.
I've strong views now, very positive about masturbation as a societal and personal good.

Our poster believes in sin - I don't want to interfere with that except to tell (him) that some of us think it is fine, good.

To add, perhaps some pastors somewhere don't think this is a sin.
