What articles of clothing are commonplace among tough guys & streetfighters (in comics)?

@izzythepush,
The cat is wearing blue sunglasses, has braids in his hair and he has a cream-colored belly.

There is nothing gay about that.

@JGoldman10,
I find it both sad and hilarious that you reference 80s and 90s in a present tense form. Pretty sure no one on the 'streets' dresses like Kid n Play anymore. And if they did they'd just get beat down.

@JGoldman10,
You are overdoing that necklace.
Please speak politely - donĀ“t attack a person by saying they a racists or something like this.
You want to sell you stuff in other countries. Here you get an answer from another country and right away you get made over it.

@shewolfnm,
I have told him that his cats just looks like copies, but I did not know from what. You certainly came up with the answer - thanks.

when you are copying something that is already done, you have to make reference to things that people may not remember or know anymore to be able to get away with it.

kinda clever in its childishness...

makes for easier access to rubbing his (Goldilox's) hands over the cream-colored belly.

@Questioner,
I was making a reference to Kid's HAIR:

http://cdn.madamenoire.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/KidPlayKid.jpg

That is the way Chris "Kid" Reid used to wear his hair.

I have seen what Kid and Play look like now:

Many black men these days wear cornrows, twists, and dreadlocks are still in style:

Fades are still popular:

I don't what they call other hairstyles black men sport these days. I haven't been in school in over a decade.

I don't know that much about today's jewelry but I know platinum jewelry is a big thing now:

@izzythepush,
Tom and Jerry had bellies that were lighter-colored then the rest of their fur:

How is that different?

@saab,
That cat Shewolf is talking about is O. G. Readmore, a character from an '80s American cartoon, but I didn't draw influence from that.

@saab,
I have some Asian, Hispanic, African and European characters that I have created and want to develop- I asked others what they thought of some of them.

I asked some of my Asian friends if they liked the way my Asian characters looked - they were okay with it. I asked them about Asian styles of clothing- they said I could use it.

@saab,
I am also researching how tough guys in other countries and cultures would dress, and asking people about traditional clothing and if it is okay to use that.

What types of things do tough guys and streetfighters typically wear in comics besides fingerless gloves, sweatbands on the head and wrists, scalley caps, other caps, arm bands, jackets, vests, tank tops, sleeveless T-shirts, regular T-shirts, gold chains, brackets, and belts?

Someone had told me, metal gloves, spiked elbow pads, long spike cleats, football shoulder pad-type gears, and sunglasses.

The same person had said:

lots of jeans, gym shoes, hiking boots, ace wraps, sweats. If you have teams, then many characters may have the traditional t-shirts or ghi's with their logo somewhere on it.

Ace wraps are those bandages that people wrap around their hands and arms but I have ho idea what a ghi is.

It took me a while to find this.

Sweatpants is an obvious choice- I have also seen tough guys wear oversized shorts and baggy shorts and puffy vests and oversized jackets:

I have seen white urban youth dress like this- I don't know the technical term for that oversized jacket the young man in the middle has on.

I can look at the way people in prison gangs dress to get ideas.

As I told others on here, it is NOT YOUR business or ANYONE ELSE'S what I do, did, or didn't do on other web sites.

That info I got from that person above was from some notes I had online from about a decade ago- if I can find some more notes related tot his I will share them. I don't think the fashion sense has really changed that much in about a decade.

@Sturgis,
No, something like Puffy Tomson/Tabbyson/McFeral/Morrisstock, or something like that.

"Funny animal" is a technical term for anthropomorphic animal characters in cartoons:

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FunnyAnimal
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funny_animal

There is no rule that says a funny animal has to wear pants or shoes or clothes.

The cats would have cat-themed punny last names, the dogs would have dog-themed punny last names.

@izzythepush,
I have a character named Rock, and others named Stone and Boulder.

Puffy is a hip-hop slang term for someone who is cool or muscly.
